Either something got screwed on your PCs registry, or something got screwed on Nexon's site. You could try running the game from mabinogi.exe in your game's folder.
I also had a similar problem with another of Nexon's game, when trying to launch from the big game start button on the game's site I would get that, but if I tried to launch it from their global launcher up top it would launch fine.

@ Accoustic - Mine was doing that a few days ago. My friend said to close your browser and try it again, but I just went straight to the Mabinogi.exe in my Mabi folder and ran it from there... it worked fine.
When it says "Failed to load patch, try again later"... My cousin had that same problem a few months ago and fixed it by downloading a different patcher and replacing "Mabinogi.exe" with it... however, the post with the link to that download has since been deleted. >; Good luck!
