What got me started on mabi wasn't the epic-ness or the epic combat, or the epic story. It was just the concept of a fantasy life and it's simplicity.

It was the rebirth system for me, although the combat system left me speechless too. To a person that all he has seen is usual lv1 to lv120 leveling systems, where even being one level higher than someone else gives you an extremely large advantage, seeing Mabinogi's rebirth system where the most grinding you do is about 6~10 hours a week (or every three weeks) instead of the 14+ hours per day is simply too much to take. Needless to say, I hold Mabinogi as the best MMORPG out there.

@Knightmehre I wish I had seen that vid three years ago when I was roaming the internet playing flash/browser games. I even remember waiting 14 HOURS JUST TO GET MY REFILL OF ENERGY THINGIES. Q_Q (It was a werewolf game thingy that was text based ;>_>)

What got me into mabi is that it reminded me somewhat of Runescape. I remember being bummed out on not getting into Closed Beta but I've been playing very actively since Open Beta and have not regretted it at all.
