Generally the stones are broken before the maint actually ends.

they use tara glitch/coupon (the stone is inside), pre patch and bypass maintenance check launchers (the game goes up before the launch checker does) in order to get the stone first. you will not see the breaking unless you do all three like them (meaning you have to do some technical stuff).
