I read somewhere a while ago that first and second trans times stack somehow, but I don't have any idea where I read it or even how they stacked.
Anyone know if they do stack and, if so, how?

When you use 1st trans, it last for 2 mins. When you 2nd trans, if the amount of time remaining is under 1min10sec, then that will be the amount of time left in 2nd trans. If you have more than 1min10sec, only 1min10sec will carry over to 2nd trans.
Edit: Beat Conor to it did I? xD
Oh btw, when I say "time remaining", I mean time remaining in 1st trans.
So, say you used 2nd trans at 1 second left, 2nd trans would NOT add another 70 seconds to the time, but will take that 1 second up.
Edit#whatever: @Conor below, isn't the second trans time 70 seconds?
Adding on, the only exception to this trans time would be the fight with SHINING SHAKARR in episode 9. In SHINING SHAKARR, You force start in 1st trans that will last forever(until the fight ends), and when you 2nd trans you still get infinite trans time.

0MG DO U NOT HAV 2ND TWANS.. -___-
no but jk
Uh, I'm not sure if it "stacks" in the sense that you're thinking of. If you 2nd Trans when your 1st Trans has more than one minute left, you will begin the 2nd with 60 seconds. However, if you start it, say, 40 seconds left, your 2nd trans will only have 40 seconds.
well, 35 actually since cutscenes like to be 5 seconds and cut into trans time.

You should add some tags so others can find it better, I tried searching this up and not a lot of helpful results came up. High quality info ^^ above.
Not REALLY related, but is fissure(2nd dark knight trans move) damage related to weapon attack damage, str, anything?

Details
-If the Stage Two transformation is triggered during the first minute of the Stage One transformation, Stage Two will last exactly one minute and ten seconds.
-If the Stage Two transformation is triggered during the second minute of the Stage One transformation, Stage Two will only last the amount of time remaining for Stage One. For example, if a player triggers Stage Two one minute, thirty-two seconds after triggering Stage One, Stage Two would only last twenty-eight seconds – the time remaining for Stage One.
-Once transformed into 2nd Paladin, the player will gain a 2300 ATT and M. ATT boost which stacks with the initial 700 ATT/M. ATT boost from the first transformation.
-The player will gain an additional +500 max HP as well as +50 max Stamina, stacking with the initial stage.
-The player will gain access to more transformation skills and will still retain their skills from the first transformation.
-When activated, the player will view a transformation cut scene and become invulnerable for a short period of time.
-HP is completely restored upon transforming.
-Their weapons also become augmented with the power of light, which extends their reach and attack speed for the entire duration.

And apparently if you do it before 1 minute, then it
is 1:10, not :60.

But how about dark knight? I really need the attack boost because, unfortunately, my gear is not as highly upgraded as needed.

From what I've seen, the most you can get of the 2nd transformation time is
1:10. The most you can have of total transformation time is the original
2:00.
The only way to get the
full 1:10 in your 2nd transformation is to activate it
on or before 1:10 remaining of the 1st transformation, i.e. if you activate 2nd transformation with 1:05 left in the first stage, you will only have 1:05 in the 2nd (and some of that time is spent simply in the animation).

If you activate 2nd trans immediately then you will only have 1:10 of total trans time?

This is what I thought, though the wiki always says otherwise.
And ya, I always trans at 1:05 causeof the dumb animation waste.

That's correct
Edit: If you want to test this yourself, you can complete any mission (before using the transformation in that hour). After the results screen comes up, you can transform without using up your once per hour limit. You can even go into the second stage without using AP (but you'll still need enough SP built up). The nice thing about doing it this way is there is nothing else to distract you from the timer atop the screen.
