Honestly, this must be the most redundant thing I've heard in my lifetime.
This is why people experiment with sex before marriage, so they can make sure the sex is good.
Since Sex makes up a major portion of the marriage these days...
I either smell a scandal from the wife or just some very redundant laws in certain countries/beliefs.
This is why you make sure that you have the right lover, before you commit.

In America you can just use this as an excuse to divorce them (if it's true); I personally know someone who did, but their real reason was because their husband was a douche, but the given reason probably would have worked better.

The bolded is sad to hear from anyone - no way in hell does sex itself take a major portion of romance, so I don't find that a sole reason to be married (in that sense); if that is what this couple based theirs on, I would not be surprised that it ended that way.
Passion is in fact a huge part, and it seems many people confuse that and romance to equal sex.

Aye. Sex is not a vital part of a relationship.. but then again, there are various types of relationships, (sexual, romantic, physical, etc) so it's hard to judge. Typically however, you don't commit to someone JUST for sex or vice versa. Marriage is supposed to be a fairly long commitment to one person, so it's stupid to divorce for such a stupid reason, since it means you shouldn't have gotten married in the first place.
