So I have a 3-hour+ wait between classes and I got carried away. Why can't I write school papers with this kind of motivation? Srsly.
Also, excuse the choppy storytelling/grammar. I haven't even bothered to edit.
EDIT:
I'm gonna star editing for fun, since I already got way too carried away with this. Maybe I'll turn this into a project with artwork and whatnot. Possibly fix up and color the NPC portrait.

(fast sketch, derp)
NPC Name: Adelynn
Location: Near Filia Mana Tunnel from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Purpose/Occupation:
Adelynn sells biographies and autobiographies of interesting and obscure characters on Mabinogi. She also sells illustrated books based on Generations. Players can only buy books for Generations they have already completed, with the exception of Race-restricted quests, which can be purchased once the player has completed the Transformation generation for their respective race.
She also sells potions and items that can be found through Exploration in Iria. These items are completely random and limited in quantity. Enchants are rare, but they do pop up in her shop once in a while. [Absolutely NO Medals for sale].
- Secret Shop Purpose:
During events, she will sell event drops at relatively high prices and in limited quantities (note: this does not include event rewards, only items like M.A.B.I.N.O.G.I. letters, Life Crystals, and Ancient Treasure Chest Fragments). The closer the event is to ending, the more she will have. They can only be bought stacked; stacked at a random number.
Theme Song:

Description: Her clear violet eyes give the impression that she is blind, but the focused gaze with which she observes the travelers says otherwise.
General quotes: "Have you come to hear a story, or to tell me one, instead?"
"Look for as long as you'd like."
"Will that be all? I will not keep you waiting. Go on and etch your own story into this world. I look forward to it."
Clothing:
[I’ll insert a simulator image when I get the chance. School computers don’t have I.E]
Iris Headdress, Flowery Evening Dress, Astin Gloves, Trinity Shoes.
When it's raining, she will have a Lace Umbrella as well.
Friends: Atrata, Taunes, Andras
Rivals: Agnes, Eavan
Enemies: N/A
Friendship Items: Anthology, Teddy Bear, Bouquet
Private Story:
- You want to know my story? I would gladly tell you, if it means gaining a new friend.
- Milletians tell such amazing stories.
- I'm not fond of the healer in Emain Macha. She's much too selfish and self-centered. I do hope she matures with age.
- So you have heard I don't get along with the woman in Dunbarton's Town office? No, no, do not apologize. It is quite true.
- The items in my shop are things I have collected myself. I like exploring, and finding new things, you see, but there is no way I could possibly put all of this to good use. Perhaps you could use something I've found.
- I use the gold I earn my shop to buy clothes. I'm especially fond of long dresses, and delicate, detailed ornaments.
- I get upset when I see one of my own kind launch themselves into battle; many don't even have a reason anymore.
- A lot of people tell me we elves are very conceited, and that we think ourselves too good to find life partners with other races. The truth is, we fear watching our loved ones grow old and slip away from us, almost as quickly as they've begun to live...
- I have done things in my past which I am not proud of, but I hope that one day, I can put all of it behind me.
Nearby Rumors:
- Castanea has kept a close eye on Artrata ever since she was a child.
- Many who fight in the great wars of Iria no longer know why they’re fighting, but when they seek answers from our leader, she refuses to answer.
- A slender, robed figure hides in the arena. He can hardly remember who he is, now. I wonder how long it has been since someone spoke his name to him.
Adelynn's Background (Elves vs Giants war).
This background is revealed through a side quest that becomes available when the player has reached the highest level of friendship with her.
“Well, I did promise I would tell you if you became my friend. First, though, I have a favor to ask of you. You see, there is this item from my past that I can no longer use, but can't give to anyone else. I don't want to carry it around, but I'm not ready to let go of it just yet. I would like for you to burry this in the deepest part of the dungeon in Longa, so that I know where it is and can retrieve it myself, if ever I should feel the urge to..."
[She hesitates before handing you: Wrapped Bundle]
[Item description: The sturdy cloth and strings secure an unknown item. Take the item with you into Longa Dungeon and burry it in a hidden corner of the Boss Room.]
"You can take this, to drop it in Longa. I assure you, no one else has anything quite like it."
[She hands you: Adelynn's Old Silver Arrow]
[Item Description: The arrow is unusable, but looks like it would have done a lot of damage if it was still brand new. Offer it to the Longa Desert Ruins to bury the Wrapped Bundle where no one but Adelynn can find it.]
Dungeon Difficulty: Similar to Longa Final Shot, with 4 floors.
Boss: Guardian of Ruins (Mysterious)
When the boss is defeated, a cutscene will occur.
(You've won! But the bundle has been damaged. Through the torn cloth and string you see two broken halves of an old leather long bow. You burry it and report to Adelynn).
(She listens patiently as you tell her about your experiences in the dungeon, and about the damaged bundle.)
"Ah, yes. I suppose I should have thought that such a thing could happen...to the wrapping, I mean. The bow was broken when I handed it to you. Let us start from the beginning, though. I warn you, the story is a bit long.
(She closes her eyes for a moment, lacing her fingers together behind her back.)
“I came from a poor family. That is, I never lacked what I needed, but that was all we could afford. I made toys out of fallen twigs and branches. My parents wanted to give me more, but I never resented them for not doing so. I had what I needed; I had my health, thanks to them.
"The little gold we had came from their expeditions out into the desert to find our lost elves. Often, they'd find them, buried in the sand, quite lost and confused. They made it their job to bring these lost elves back home. On the longer missions, when they had to go further out into the desert, they would bring their friends along; the parents of
my friends. No matter how far they traveled though, they always came back within two weeks. I was often by myself during these times, and they didn't like the thought of that. Neither did I, but I kept myself busy, practicing making trinkets out of things I could find on the ground or on trees. I was determined to make them a surprise gift next time they w
"One day, a group of four set off, and only one returned. It was a young man I didn't know very well. He looked exhausted and frightened. Sensing something bad was coming, I asked for news about my parents. He merely shook his head and kept walking towards our leader. I followed him. He didn't notice. When he made his report, I was there to listen to all of it. 'The mission was a failure,' he said. 'We'd just found a lost elf, but we were too low on water, and she was thirsty. I went to fetch some while they finished digging her out. When I returned, I saw them getting killed by a group of giants. The lost elf too. I ran here without stopping...'
"I lashed out at him. He was the nearest thing I could blame. He should have done something, he should have saved them! That's what I had thought then. It was no use blaming him, though. He was no fighter. He couldn't have done anything. The most he could have done for me was tell me how they died. My parents were gone and they would not return to me. For a young, impressionable child like me, a path to hatred was easily carved. The giants had killed them. It was all their fault. I vowed to get my revenge. I wanted them to feel the same pain I did.
"So, with my limited skills, I began to craft poorly-made weapons. Just enough for small hunting jobs. In time, I saved up enough gold for a real weapon, and began to train to fight in the wars. I became quite skilled. I was not the best, but the time I had spent crafting made me very nimble. I fought a very long time, and took pride in my skill. Every dead giant meant one less giant to attack my people. I fought for so long that every experience was mechanical. I slept a lot less and functioned like something without a soul. All those years blended together int a blur. It would be many years before I would feel awake again.
"When that day came I was near Sella Beach. We had been at battle for many hours, and it looked like a snow storm would hit soon. I was determined to kill as many giants as I could before I would have to hide and retreat. My final kill was a lumbering man with a poorly-made weapon. He didn't even have time to swing before I killed him. As he slumped into the snow in front of me, a smaller figure was revealed. This boy stared at me, wide-eyed. Clearly he was new to battle. His stance was wrong and he was not used to death. But the most striking thing about this boy was that he looked like a younger version of the man I had just killed. His father. I had just killed his father in front of his eyes. This thought hit me like a brick wall. Suddenly, I had trouble breathing.
" 'Why did you do that? Why!?' he asked.
I shook my head, unable to answer.
" 'Why are you killing us all off?'
I tried to say something, but the sound caught in my throat. I was frozen as my mind assaulted me with questions I could not answer. Why
was I here? Why had I murdered so many? I couldn't remember. I was no longer a person, just a weapon. My thoughts suddenly came to a halt when something hit me from the right side. I heard the sound of my own body breaking before I hit the snow. I got a good look at the man I had killed before blacking out completely.
“I woke up on a raft made of logs much wider than my own torso. Everything had a wet smell to it, including me. I could hardly move or breathe very well, but I could see that I had been bandaged up. My arm was in a sling and even a small movement hurt. I closed my eyes and lost myself again. I didn't care that i didn't know where I was.
"It took a few more times before I noticed the boy. I could just barely see him without turning my head. He sat, arms crossed, staring at me.
" 'Why am I still alive?' I asked.
" 'You didn't answer my questions,' he said.
"I must have mumbled something to him, because he seemed to react, but that is something I can't remember. I felt a sharp pain on my side, and before long, I was gone again. I drifted between different states of awareness. I'm not sure what I told him, but by the time we reached land, he had stopped asking me questions.
"He helped me off the raft and made a shelter near the large boulders. There was plenty of room for me, hardly any for him. He caught a lot of fish. 'A lot easier than trying to catch him through ice,' he'd said. He began sharing his stories about home with me. I'd supposed then that he'd thought a battered elf for company was better than no company at all, but he was simply more capable of forgiveness and compassion than I had been.
"We were found by humans eventually. We both found them curious. Too rough to be elves, too small to be humans. They found us even more curious. Even young giants looked massive, like bears, and there he was, next to a pointy-eared, broken excuse for a person. When they realized we weren't dangerous, I was carried to a healer. As I slept, he told them stories about his home, and about the war. Eventually, I told them about Filia and about the elves. I did not tell them about myself. It was much too soon for that.
"The faces of the people I killed...I was beginning to remember them all too clearly. Just like my parents, these people must have had families too. I had robbed so many children of their parents. So many parents of their children. Brothers. Sisters. Lovers. Even now, I remember their faces.
"I still do not know all of the answers, but for their sake, and for that boy, I will continue to search."
(She looks up at the sky, her expression nearly blank, except for a faint downturn at the corners of her mouth.)
"I have kept you waiting quite a while. I'm sorry. I hope to see you again soon."

Adelynn's General Background
In search for answers, Adelynn likes to spend her time reading, exploring, and collecting information from milletians. through her gathering of knowledge she has learned about the struggles between the gods, as well as information about the Ancient Irinid, Neamhain. She is still unsure about how the war between giants can be stopped, but is hopeful that peace can be reached.
Although her first real friendship with a non-elf was with the boy giant, when she talks about elves fearing those who die before them, she is actually thinking about a human called Zid.
Adelynn met Zid just as she had temporarily given up her search for another pointy-eared girl such as herself. She followed him in his own explorations, attracted by his diligence and altruism.
Adelynn often meets up with the giant boy's descendants. They like making fun of how small she is, but she knows they mean well. Adelynn is particularly close to Ridane, who looks a lot like her friend from a long time ago.

Adelynn's Friends Background
Atrata- Through milletians, Adelynn learned Atrata's backtory, including her interactions with Taunes. She admires Atrata's compassion for the giant, and often talks to her about her hopes for peace.
Andras- Adelynn first heard of someone with "similar pointy ears" when she arrived in Udlah with the giant boy, but did not meet Andras until much later. Adelynn likes visiting Taillteann, where she can watch Elves and Giants fight for the same cause. "Without the past there is no today" is something that strongly resonates with her. Often, she will ask Andras for information, or to encourage her.
Taunes- Although Adelynn isn't able to talk to him much, she began talking to him once she learned Atrata's story. She hopes that the two will one day be able to see each-other in peace.
Adelynn's Rivals Background
Agnes-Adelynn had a difficult time with Agnes while trying to learn healing. She things the girl is selfish (needing so many gifts), and much too self-centered, believing that the world revolves around her. A healer should be altruistic.
At one point, Adelynn brought Zid along to help her carry frienship gifts, and Agnes
strongly hinted that Zid was just her type, and should be with her instead.
There is a rumor that someone threw a heavy present at the back of Agnes's head, but when she turned to look at who it was, there was no one there...
Eavan- Adelynn doesn't think Eavan is much like Agnes, but resents the fact that she too, hinted at a different sort of relationship.
