It kicks ass.
Just finished running lots of tests with it for work. Best disk imaging software I ever used.

In under 30 minutes I was able to create an image of a broken down laptop's hard drive and load it onto a VM (the image files work in vmware workstation).

In a similar amount of time I backed up a desktop with a 500GB drive (with about 30GB used), and then swapped out the disk for an 80GB one, and it worked fine and handled the disk size difference perfectly.

I backed up a VM and loaded it into a physical machine, which often has some issues with Windows.

So anyone interested in disk imaging I suggest using this. It has a stand-alone boot CD which is what I used, don't care about the installed version.

Get it legally or pirate it, don't care either way. Lucky for me I get to use NFR (not for resale) licenses from work.

You seem surprised. :P Symantec's system tools have been top notch since.. the DOS days. xP But it seems people only know them for their antivirus software now.

Also.. ever tried PING? Works well for imaging needs and is free.

I've used the older symantec backup systems for clients, and ghost, but never the newer "system recovery yyyy" version (started with 2010 I think).
It makes every other symantec tool I've used, and other disk imaging software I've bene using to this point look like MS Paint compared to photoshop CS5.
