...and not Visual Novels. I don't think I'll be able to last a tale without the sex tbh. So far, I finished Ran's route in Edelweiss. And I cried. I think that I'm going to cry every time too...

Sadly, I can't say I ever enjoyed VN/Eroges. I tried playing
Ever17, one of the highest rating VN games... I got bored pretty quickly.

@Guy: Thanks, I expect to buy a lot of tissue boxes.
@Paul: Yeah, it gets pretty long. Edelweiss has sex at the end qq. Had to go through so much xD.

Play Muv Luv Extra, Unlimited and Alternative. You'll pretty much...I dunno, is there an emotion for happiness, anger, sadness, and being confused all at the same time?
I also recommend Cross Channel, Yume Miru Kusuri, Kana ~Little Sister~, Swan Song, and ANYTHING written by Tanaka Romeo pretty much. He writes a lot of stuff that will get you depressed and then happy, then depressed.
And I read eroge for the PLOT. Okay? Okay.

Saya No Uta is still by far my absolute favorite.
The rest just don't appeal nearly as much as this one does. Not even close.

I would recomend Fortune Arterial.
Very good story, very long(took me a few weeks for 100% clear)
And for the guys in the public, some sex scene(which I skiped but I think they looked alright from the little of what I saw)

If your main reason is for the sex, you know there are tons of decent flash games out there instead owo although I have zero interest to look for them
I would look into Visual Novels, but eh, I haven't tried any because of the availability or how disappointingly short it is - or too much time filled with boring things.
However, I did try to find BL Visual Novels, but because of prejudice in the market there were very few translated into English that I could find :shoe:

I'm actually amazed to see how long they actually are. Looking at some estimated gametime required to finish the game on VNDB, they're quite high compared to normal games these days... (as in total hours)

Most of them are, meanwhile the few I might be interested sound pretty short :stress:
And you say another problem - I could easily spend 100+ hours on a good game, but 30~50 hours on a visual novel?
Forget that, it doesn't even take me that long to read a 1,000 page book - nor does it feel appealing to leaf through that many fillers without a satisfying enough plot.
Some of them all depends on a shoot-and-miss guess on the right option, which can lead to several times of dying - or frustration of not meeting the ending you wanted.

My main reason is the storyline, I don't like mindless sex. xD

You have to play through it all, Ever17 is no good until you've played every other route and unlock Coco's story (true end) and then it all comes together.
And you **** bricks.

Poking an old thread with a stick...
People look down on Eroge, saying people who enjoy it are ones with no life, but most of them have a better plot than the anime, and we all enjoy anime, right? =3
I would definitely say that if you're REALLY in the world of Eroge, you learn to at least hiragana and katakana. Many of the English translated eroge is good, but there are better eroge that is unfortunately non-translated. Then again, many of them require an extensive knowledge of kanji, which is a pain in the ass...
Sometimes though, I really think they (the companies) should leave out the sexual content, mainly because it's pointless. Many people skip it anyway, so why go through the troubles of making the CG for it? =/
(It'll be softer on the wallets of consumers too =3=)
