This is an example of how to use metal toolkit in Mabinogi g15.
Here's some help.
For most part, anything can be metal toolkit enhanced, including ego weapons (Except for Robes).
To start metal toolkit enhancement there's 3 types of kits you need to use.
Common, High, and Credine.
Credine kits are best, high inbetween, and Common the weakest.
To start off, you use the Common Kit first on an item. It will give you anywhere from 1-3 slots randomly.
Once you use the common kit, use the Credine kit to increase the slot enhancement. Each piece of item can have up to 3 slots! Once you increase the slot to 3, you can stop using Credine Kits and just use high.
When you use high or credine kits, you can randomly gain a Rank Level. A Rank Level determines how high the "cap" the level is. In that if you're Rank 3, you can never go past level 6 etc.
The best is Rank 1, then Rank 2, then Rank 3. With Rank 1 being the best. When you go up a rank, you will enter a special cutscene as shown in the video. Once you enter that rank, you cannot LOSE it. You cannot derank and it lifts the cap on ALL THREE Enhancement slots.
Rank 2 and Rank 3 enhancement are normal but to get Rank 1, expect to spend a lot on Credine Kits.
Once you are satisfied with your slot number and Rank... use the High kit to roll.
The High Kit will RANDOMLY give you levels and effects on all 3 slots. It's possible to lose a level (so becareful!). Getting anything past 9 is rare and the max level to get is 20.
The chance to get to level 20 is so rare, it's almost abysmal. To even get 11 or get up to 15 will cost many kits.
Each time you use a high kit, it's like doing an artisan roll. You get 3 random enhancement and 3 random levels, so good luck!
Also the Credine and High Level Kits are NX item only while common is sold in-game. In KR Test they are sold in npc for testing purpose.
Oh and once you gained an enhancement slot from Credine, there is no way you can lose that slot, it is permanent. =)
Hope that helps clarify things about the g15 Metal Toolkit Enhancement Kits!

Another thing to keep in mind is that certain effects have a cap depending on the piece of equipment.
Example: Smash Enhancement can hit Lv20 on a two-handed sword while one-handed swords can only reach Lv10.

I haven't found any life drain enhancement status effect modifications. There is a "life drain damage enhancement" modification that is multiplicative though independent of the actual status effect.

I'm not entirely sure.
The skill damage modifications were nerfed, though it's possible that each skill has a unique multiplier. As of right now, I believe most skills have a 150% damage multiplier at Lv20 (2.5% per level).
While some enhancements have level caps based on the equipment quite a few level caps other than Lv20. This level cap can be improved as the overall grade of your equipment rises from 3R to 1R. Weapons that can be duel wielded tend to cap at half the maximum level.
Example:
Final Hit (Duration)
+1.5 seconds per level
3R: Capped at Lv2
2R: Capped at Lv10
1R: Capped at Lv20
Highest possible: +30 seconds
Final Hit (Cooldown)
-6 seconds per level
3R: Capped at Lv2
2R: Capped at Lv10
1R: Capped at Lv20
Highest possible: -120 seconds
Crash Shot (Target Count)
+1 target per level
3R: Capped at Lv2
2R: Capped at Lv3
1R: Capped at Lv5
Highest possible: +5 targets
Windmill (Damage)
+2.5% per level
3R: Capped at Lv2
2R: Capped at Lv10
1R: Capped at Lv20
Highest possible: +50% damage
Healing (Recovery)
+1 health point recovered per level +24 health recovered
3R: Capped at Lv2
2R: Capped at Lv10
1R: Capped at Lv20
Highest possible: +44 health recovered
If you have something in particular, i'll look up its known enhancements.

I don't think Water Cannon has its own critical success rate bonus, unlike Smash. I haven't found any information confirming a potential cloud duration enhancement, though Rain Casting has several other enhancements.

How much % does the smash enhancement add?
-
TropicalCat wrote on 2011-09-13 10:44
Ok so... I just got done adding up my Base Dmg/Bonus
[This is my Damage ectect just making an example]
Base damage(Rank1 WC) + enchants + Title + Upgrades = 278 Base
Rank1 Alch/Water masteries = 55%
Tidalwave cylinder = 30%
G15 Watercannon enhance = 45%
Cressida WC = 15%
278 + 55% = 430 + 30% = 559 + 45% = 810 + 15% = 932 [1118 with Rank1 Rain]
932 + 150% = 2330 single charge Critical [2796 with Rank1 Rain]
932 x 6.5 = 6058 Full charge [7269 with Rank1 Rain]
932 x 6.5 = 15145 Full charge Critical [18174 with Rank1 Rain]
Correct any mistakes.
