Blue Screen of Death

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. Sometimes when i exit mabi the screen after loading freezes and i eventually get a blue screen of death. The only thing is that it started happening every few days. The blue screen says this is caused by a file called Eagle.nxt and the error is the drivers didn't finish reloading while closing pending operations or something like that. Is there any fix to this?

The same thing has been happening to me as well with the same exact file after closing mabinogi. This didn't start happening to me until recently either.

Someone I know had this problem. I googled it and it seems to be a problem with hackshield and people have been having this problem with other Nexon games. Yeah it happens with both XP and Vista.

Edit: So far I have not seen it happen with windows 7.

Now, normally something pointing to a driver issue is an easy fix (update that specific driver file), but in this case the crash happened in ntoskrnl.exe and win32k.sys, both of which are system drivers and this points to something else wrong...

What's the exact version of XP you're using? It's not pirated, is it? What sort of modification have you done? From the looks of the loaded drivers in this log it looks like there may have been some unnecessary modding to the system.

What are your specs?

Haven't tried this yet because it involves disabling antivirus.

edit: It looks like it might work if it has to do with hackshield interfering with a process you're running but it's fairly tedious to do... /lazy

It may be tedious, but the process of elimination is sometimes a necessary step towards finding the problem.
Once the actual problem is found it may help other people.
I'm sure you'd like it if other people did this already and found what the problem is for you, right?

Im using Windows XP Service Pack 3

and my specs are

System Manufacturer- Dell Computer Corporation
System Model- Dimension 4550
BIOS- Default System Bios
Processor- Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.66GHz

Page file- 593MB used, 1870MB available
DirectX Version- DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)

I think that's everything and i will try the fix later and tell you if it worked

I have this same problem. To circumvent it I simply end Mabinogi in the task manager. However, this prevents the game from saving data to the registery so any options changed wile your logged on will revert to what they last were when you closed normally.
