I had a big dinner and moon cakes. I hate moon cakes.
So what did you do? (if you actually celebrate it)

Ah~ I wasn't too sure. I'm not that knowledge in that department, but from what I had seen and learned I always thought it to be exclusively to the end of the year.
My bad.

>_> Lunar Festival/Aka Chinese New Year is at the beginning of the new year, Jan-Feb usually.
It's Mid-autumn festival that it's being celebrated right now.
If you have clear skies go outside and enjoy the pretty moon.
PS. Mooncakes are awesome. =3

Enjoying moon cakes right now with 8 people in my house. Which is a heck lot of people. My mom is just telling my family how I used to stand near the porch's door and point at the moon saying that the moon has came out to eat cakes. Oh my god, embarrassing childhood as it is with these kind of celebrations. I mean, it's not necessary to be sharing that around my cousins. ; ^ ;
We only bought 1 box of moon cakes, which comes in four cakes, since the moon cakes were so expensive this year. Almost $20-30 a pop at the store. But the designs on the boxes are usually so pretty. x]
Why hate moon cakes? I loved them when I was a teeny toddler, and I still love them now. But gosh, they're sometime so expensive. It's also funny when the stores lower the prices of everything when the celebration is over too, so everyone gets something to take home, I suppose. :zzz:

I ate a moon cake, then went back to doing homework. No time for moon-viewing if I have 3 tests tomorrow! ><

Ehh. Tuesday's a good day to place tests, and that applies to all teachers since it gives the weekend for students to study, and Monday for cramming. :gloom3:

I'm not a fan of moon cakes, but I honor a slice every time the harvest moon comes.
I went to a festival in a park, where every year, people come together and enjoy each other's company by talking, playing, making food... then we all light paper lanterns at night time and use them to follow dragons. Finish off by watching performances at the gazebo~
