Paw's .gif dump

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. You can not register, post or otherwise interact with the site other than browsing the content for historical purposes. The content is provided as-is, from the moment of the last backup taken of the database in 2019. Image and video embeds are disabled on purpose and represented textually since most of those links are dead.

Today, decided to attempt doing a long one; so I found a trailer and decided to do that

I was lucky this didn't hit the 500 frame limit
And I'm going to spoiler this, it might seriously lag before you see it right:

Yea, I tend to avoid using a load of frames, it really causes Photoshop to kill the memory and really slow the computer down.

Exactly why I haven't tried a long one in weeks.

[SPOILER="Spoiler"]I did try a ridiculously long one when I just started out, but I ragequit once I saw how much lag it was to separate ~1,115 frames from three separate PSD files and then try to play the ~483 frames remaining on the Animation Bar itself.

It's just sitting there, taking up 3.28 GB out of the 5.08 GB .gif folder, really tempting me to delete it.[/SPOILER]

You should watermark them and add subtle effects and throw them on some website, like tumblr or something.

A signature format, it's not really a response-type of .gif (such as an emotion) - so I thought it would be a nice signature

To you and Skye: Sadly, I found out today that a .gif has a 256 color limit (to my knowledge) - so if you go way over that limit, the .gif's quality can severely decrease.

So I ended up cutting out the first ~8 seconds of the .gif above, so it the quality wouldn't be horribly ruined.

If you're really curious, here is what the original length would be - so you can see for yourself how much that limit really effects making any .gif

I did think of watermarks in case anyone thought of claiming it as their own, but I didn't want to ruin them too much with it.
Maybe I'll figure out a little one with my name in the corner, so it won't distract the main attention.

I have never been to this "tumblr" - I always thought it was just another image hosting site, but recently it has sounded more to be a blog?

Watermarks I've seen on tumblr are very subtle most of the time. It's usually like (I'll use mine as an example) [SIZE="1"]emilyfay|tumblr[/SIZE] and very transparent, and smaller.
But yeah, tumblr is more of an everything kind of site. It's just awesome. Many people use it to display their artwork, such as graphics, gifs, digital paintings, photography, etc.

-Specify the video (or upload it so I can download in the quality you want),
- Which section you want cropped 8:27 - 8:40
- Dimenions, Same size as my current one (i have no idea what it is :C)
- Speed of .gif it can be same as video or a lil faster if it helps quality.
- Border of a certain color (or no border, and I can send copies of different colors to see which is good for you no border
