Yeah, they did, because they reasoned that "oh, everybody is back in school, let's push maintenance time back and screw over the east coast".
Never mind that this was 3 weeks before a ton of us went back to school...

Meh, I'm not surprised. In the middle to the week too. I don't even think that they seem to bother with scheduling it on every Tuesday. I remember when it was said on the notices, the first time they said they would do everything on Tuesday. Oh, the irony.
Ever since the long line of maintenances that barely fixed a few things, it doesn't look like it'll be a surprise when they have maintenances any others days. Lol, a day off for them, eh.

I fail to see how this screws over the east coast...??? If anything I approve of this new time - but that's just me. :p

This is only the second time they've done this.
Most schools end around 2-3pm, so this doesn't harm the east coast.
Many players play at night, not the afternoon, so this is convenient for many players, unless you're like 15 years old.
The more probable reason they changed it to this time is because it's likely they have more employees at work between 9am-12pm local time, rather than 10pm-1am. Given the amount of work on each maintenance they've had to do recently, it's better to have more people on staff during maintenance where the speed of their work has a massive effect on the player base.
But sure, you can always complain and whine about them being lazy and inconsiderate.

Um, they've been doing this for like three weeks.
I tend to play in the afternoon, and tomorrow, I get home at 1.
So yeah, convenient for all of you, inconvenient for me. Pardon me for having an opinion that isn't the same as yours.
Which =/= whining, btw.

Unless they extend it a couple hours. You guys keep forgetting how often Nexon extends stuff. If they move patches to the day as well, it also ****s over the East Coast we well.
Got to think ahead my boy to possible consequences of extensions.
Of course, that's assuming that people have no homework or nothing better to do. As long as the game is up by 6pm EST I don't mind. I don't get home from work until 5:30-6:00pm EST anyways.

An opinion : This time is inconvinient for me.
Your whining : "They're screwing over the east coast" because
I get home earlier than other people
Plus I don't have class on wednesday so this does affect me too. But of course you can just assume all us west coasters are busy in the morning, and we're blessed by this new time.

They do extend often but they also end early often, people just like to focus on the extensions out of anger. There was a long streak in the summer where they ended maintenance 1-2 hours early for a few weeks straight, and nobody said a word of praise or anything.
In fact, IIRC there were a few maintenance that were only 30-45 minutes long when they were scheduled for 2 hours.

Claudia wrote on 2011-09-14 11:11
Because those maintenances were at like, 1AM in the morning. Nobody was awake to complain.
And yeah, I think they did screw the East Coast over with some of the maintenances a few weeks ago that were from 12 to 3.

I .. don't really care. In fact, the longer the better. I got banned and so did many other innocent players. I wonder if they even noticed their mistake and fix it within this patch. I bet they'll finish the patch, realize the bans, another random patch, lasting longer than usual.. and screwing everyone over again. Eh. Lack of faith in Nexon.

Claudia wrote on 2011-09-15 04:54
Or you could log in and find your ban becomes longer, or worse, permanent.
Also cool, extended. 9-2 > 12-5.
