A fomor, hmm? lol...
He probably can't actually be arrested though since he is a head of state.
Anywho, source was from another forum. And the OP later posted this...
There's no questioning whether he did it or not. He definitely did it. And it's been going on for some time...
The only question is whether he can actually be arrested or not.
At least I didn't call Fomors formors like I used to. I get one word right but get the other wrong. Can't win them all. Either way I don't know enough about the current Pope to make an accurate call. The Catholic Church should just elect a new Pope. Not sure how easy that is to do though.

So they got the balls to issue the arrest warrant?
I'll celebrate when he's behind bars.

^ dis. People in power abuse said power in many ways, though I still find it funny that people assume the whole 'raping young boys' thing is just a rumor/stereotype. People seem to forget these things are sometimes born off of facts (such as in this case). Iunno about you guys, but I roll around in glee seeing hypocrites like this. Too bad he probably won't get arrested for it and continue molesting innocent boys.
I bet he assumes he's exempt from being condemned from pedophilia and homosexuality because he's god messenger or some sh*t.

Well he is immune to being arrested, similar to diplomatic immunity.
I don't know what's required for that to be bypassed but I hope it happens.

A proper pope would've done a thorough investigation and arrested every priest behind the sexual assaults.
Bad press? I don't freaking think so. He, along with the rest of the catholic church, would look like they're amending for their wrongs and even look heroic doing it.

So I guess I should say "fomor" Catholic who is now barely a Christian. I'm more into Polytheism truth be told. But that's another story.
LOL best typo ever

While the Pope is the figurehead, he's not really holding the reins to individual priests everywhere. I'm not really privy to the situation, but I don't think arresting him will do any actual good. It's very unlikely he's actively tried to cover anything up and he can't be arrested for inaction.
It would be more productive to call him to arms in a less assaultive manner.

Also, enough with the Sith jokes. This -is- a news thread, and really shouldn't contain posts that do not express an opinion or reaction.

I wonder why it took them so long to try and do anything about it.

'Cause he's the almighty Pope? That sort of power protects you from many things.

To governments he's pretty much untouchable through legal means. Sure they could use force or have him assassinated like they often do to things they don't like but that won't have the effect they want, it'll just generate sympathy for the church rather than give them (very) bad press and ruin reputations.

Same reason why George Bush is not in jail right now. Same reason why Nixon never went to jail (though he was pardoned, which apparently makes everything better.)
