  Wouldn't the fall through the floor one be a problem with source? I doubt they can fix that easily without having Valve look into it. (which costs ZOMG MONEY)

  without knowing too much about it, i'd imagine there's something within the (i think it's) "source" engine that determines the nature of what is solid. this should be something that's just a fluke of the coding in this particular game.
