This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. You can minimize it to the little speech bubble on the bottom of the screen, but that's about all you can do, to my knowledge.

I'm fairly certain it goes away as long as you don't hover over the bottom right of the screen and will reappear whenever a message is given.
Disabling System Message in all tabs should help keep it from popping up.

The speech bubble is for 1:1 chat.

Why do I always confuse things.

But yes, if you don't hover over the bottom right, it'll go away until you use it or move your cursor over the area.

To get rid of the 1:1 chat box, just hit the button in the top right of it that looks like two arrows pointing down.
