Have a hobby for aquascaping or in general just fish caring? I've recently got into it, about a month ago, I bought my 10 gallon tank yesterday since it was quite a steal from PetSmart.

Right now I have a 2 gallon tank where my Betta resides in, I'm planning a 10 gallon community live with lots of plants, which I will place some Tetras, otos, and my Betta in creating this fabulous community tank I've been dreaming of. I just have to get some more stuff to set it up and then cycle the tank while I quarantine the plants and the fish for about three weeks or so before adding my Betta in, that also lets the Tetras establish their territory and which will hopefully make my Betta not kill them all. After that I plan to take my friend's Betta which I gave to her as a birthday present, she's been taking poor care of the fish, so if he stays alive for a little while I'll give him a good home with my free 2 gallon where Jake used to live.

<: So does anyone here have the same hobby as me? Or am I just the only one.

My dad. He bought $200 worth of fish, and like $100 on a good tank for them. He actually makes everything look nice though.

Sadly, my two gallon tank costed more than my 10 gallon. My two gallon costed about $100+, including the heater, feeding ring, and etc. While my 10 gallon was $100 right on the dot including the heater I bought with it. And right now the exact same 2 gallon is on sale for $50 with a set and everything, ugh. I'm planning to make my 10 gallon look nice with live plants and all, right now it looks ugly because I have incandescent light bulbs instead of fluorescent, I need fluorescent any ways, since they're the best for live plants.

I'm also planning to re-vamp my 2 gallon and add a Marimo moss ball and 1 or two live plants in. Either adding three or four guppies in or just taking my friend's Betta if it's not dead by then.

That's quite terrible to be honest, a lot of people buy fish and they just do not know how to care for them and the fish obviously die, it's quite sad.

I used to have a turtle, I cared for him under poor conditions I believe, his small tiny tank and it usually smelled a lot. I kinda feel sorry for him now that I think about it.

But at least I set him free into a lake with some other turtles I believe, hopefully he didn't get eaten or anything (probably did). But yeah, fishies are my favourite things to care for these days, they're quite easy once you've got everything setted up.

I used to keep two tanks years and years ago back when I was just under the age of 10. I had one tank with a huge algae eater in it and I SWEAR it ate my smaller one....

Sadly, my mother didn't keep it clean enough so all the fishes died....
