The gold stays there for a while. If the drawing you plan on doing takes too much time, enough for the gold to disappear, then you must draw as fast as you can.

Also, I think Strych9 added a set of angry eyebrows with stamina pots but I didn't take a screenshot of it because, as the title suggests, it has to be gold art.
