I think bad grammar is worse. In writing, it can totally butcher whatever point(s) you're trying to get across. Run-on sentences can totally kill. There are some instances where bad grammar is kind of cute or something, like a foreigner trying to use newly learned English. I love broken English. :) But the bad grammar of a back country redneck...just no. "I ain't got none of them there thaaaaangs." GAAAAHHH. My ears bleed.
Bad spelling is pretty bad too, but that I can let slide. Unless every other word is misspelled. Then it's just no.

You're turned into an aircraftman or -woman or other low-ranking member of the Royal Air Force?
Or are you talking about '
irks'?

Poor Grammar.
You need to learn the spelling of each word, so its acceptable to have one or two errors.
But Grammar is more of a set of rules, and you only have to learn a number of them to construct your sentences properly.
