Just a few minutes ago my headphones started making really loud static noises whenever sound comes through them. I have absolutely no idea how to fix it and it's extremely annoying.

about 2 years, no damage to the cords at all, and I never bend them or anything so I don't know how they'd get loose/damaged.

Well 2 years is pretty long so it's probably time to replace them. Static sounds is usually what happens when something inside broke

Plug the headphones into a different device, like a MP3 player, TV or w/e. If you still hear static, the wire's probably dead and there's not much you can do.

I found the problem, there was a small magnet nearby. I moved it and it stopped.
