Hello, I have a problem...

Yes, it seems like I finally realized my addiction to the internet.
For the past couple of days, my internet was shut off because of the unpaid bill.
The internet got turned off on Wednesday and everything just got entirely boring.
For the past couple of days, I was doing some very boring stuff around the house.

It really dawned on me of how bad my addiction was to the internet.
I was ready to go punch the hell out of the walls and I really want to rip my hair out.
It got extremely boring around the house and I didn't know what else to do.

Finally, this morning. My mother decided to gamble $20, while waiting for an accident to clear.
[SIZE="1"](It took 2 hours to clean up the mess, so she decided to go play at Sweepstakes.)[/SIZE]
That $20 went into $1000 after a concerning phone call to her.
She came home and finally was in a good mood, hugging the hell out of me.
I was able to pay the cable bill and have some extra money for NX this month.
[SIZE="1"](If you're wondering about the cable bill, my sister bought $120 worth of porn, ran up the bill and moved out, leaving me with the tab.)[/SIZE]

Has anyone had a problem like this before?

If my internet goes down for at least an hour or so I start to go crazy, I would try to fix it any way I could.

Everything I do is online. It's not so much an addiction as a shift in technology.
Instead of TV I have streaming media, instead of books I have PDF files, instead of phones or letters I use skype chat/voice and email...

I've had a computer addiction since I was maybe.. 10? I have an addictive personality from both my parents; my biological Father is a computer addict and my Mom is an alcoholic. (though she doesn't have an addictive personality otherwise)

It has gotten better over the years, so long as I actually have a computer to do things on. It isn't so hard for me to go without internet; I survived without it for nearly 3 weeks when we first moved into our prior housing. Though my addiction is clearly different than yours, as you seem to get iffy even with a computer, albeit no internet.

You can tell your addiction is serious if you get literal withdrawal that affects more than just your mood, even if it's a tad different per person.

I don't got that much of an Internet addiction, but I have had some addictions to video games in the past. I'm pretty reliant on technology these days, since the society seems to want everyone to at least be techno-savvy.

I mean like, if you had to write up essay for example, the teacher may not let you use Microsoft Word or whatever for that, even if it's faster. This is due to people copying other people off the Internet issues, so we have to handwrite our things from scratch.
But gee, it really makes me realize how much more time-efficient it is to already use stuff that is laid out there for you, rather than building from the beginning.

Technology evolves, and we evolve with it. Pretty hard to get by without the evolution of technology. And besides, Internet is still one of the best ways to communicate with your friends.
And as far as I'm concerned, the most commonly used communication is usually cell phone/texting, and Instant Messaging programs over the Internet. Following up by that, it's more like land-line phones, and regular e-mails.

This. The computer is just a very convenient way to procrastinate for me. If not this, I'd find somehting else l0l.

The internet is pretty much the only entertainment at my house, so if there's no internet I get extremely bored.
I used to watch TV a lot when I was younger, but now TV shows only entertain me for like ~30 mins. @_@
