Is Puella Magi Madoka Magica worth watching?

  God, I feel like the only one who couldn't sit through it. I got really bored and dropped it after 4 episodes while it was airing. Everyone else who's seen it that I've talked to is like "OMG IT WAS SO GOOD." but I just couldn't stay interested.

  It felt like that at first, but it does become better.
  
  Although I drilled through it all late at night, so was feeling groggy and it all went by fast for me :chomp2:

  My brain tends to be good at picturing scenes that happened while a certain song played, and I like things that trigger imagination, so if I like a scene, I'll tend to be drawn to the song, too.

  There's really only subtle differences.
  
  For instance, Mami's house has more than just a table or two, among other things.
  Her ribbon magic now has a flower effect.
  Charlotte was revamped.
  The scene where Sayaka beats a witch to a pulp is now bloodier.
  And I think Walpurgisnacht looks better...

  Differences are subtle, but there's quite a few of them, from what I've seen.
  

  
  
  • Changes in some of the animation in the opening
    
  • Added details to some witch fights, like when Mami first brings them along.
    
  • Sayaka's transformation in a scene changes, with some added detail and some removed.
    
  • Fight scene after this also has some more details.
    
  • Soul gem model/size fixes
    
  • Changes to background elements like fences/bridges
    
  • Color corrections
    
  • Composition/framing changes
    
  • Scene with Sayaka and Kyouko at the train station has lighting changes and some soul gem changes.
    
  • Walpurgis is changed to be more consistent throughout the episodes, so a lot of her animations in ep 11 are re-done.
    
  • Homura's transformation in ep 11 is different.
    
  • Timing/cut problems fixed.
    
  • Floors changed in some cases.
