I don't think its right to commit suicide under any circumstances. Also, imagine the guilt and grief the person who assisted might feel as a result of helping you. I think it would be pretty selfish to kill yourself and even more selfish to have someone else do it for you.

Sounds pretty selfish of you to hope people keep suffering.
Also you can always ask someone who wouldn't grief about it instead of asking someone you know will.

I wouldn't want anyone to continue suffering, but one can never know what might happen if they decide to live.
And how is it even possible to know someone will not grieve over helping to kill someone? Its not an easy thing for anyone to do, I'd imagine.

Each person is different.
Sure, I would grieve that they were gone, but I would feel like I had a huge weight on my shoulders if I simply let them die, suffering.

it's a pretty easy thing to do, all them ore when you have the belief you are saving them. Only someone who was too much attached to the person or believ they did something horrible would grief..
You may never know what might happen if the decided to live but, their life is theirs, the choice is theirs. You mgiht decide to risk yourself horrible and nightmareish pain in hope of a better future, but there are some that prefer to not hold into such hopes and to avoid needless pain and suffering..

Sadly the world isn't filled with miracles and unicorns
you let someone suffer until they die, there is no "ANY SUDDENLY ALL OF MY PAIN WAS GONE AND THEN THE DOCTORS SAID I'M CURED AND HAVE A FULL LIFE AHEAD OF ME"
they suffer and suffer until they die, and who's fault is that?
Oh well they cause grief on the people who love them?
Well those people are the selfish ones for forcing them to live in so much pain.

I think it should be legal. It's someones life, they have the right to end it. Suicides happen every day regardless, I would rather have a family member die a more clean and sterile way. The alternative is them, perhaps, hanging themselves or putting a gun to their head; which no one likes that to happen. This post also brought to mind Jack Kevorkian. RIP.
