I usually tell people to Google things, especially if the question is what I'd consider stupid. I'm lazy, and I always use Google for things I don't know. I don't understand why someone else can't, too.

What kind of teacher is that :what:
Unless the student asks them a question unrelated to their subject (such as outside of helping for homework and such) - when they could look it up themselves when the teacher is already busy enough.

When is it acceptable?
When the answer can be found with google. Especially for questions about definitions or terms.
For instance:
"How is lightning formed?"
-Oh here, let me explain it for you...
"How hot does lightning get?"
-Oh here, lmgtfy...
"Why is it that we share 96 percent of our DNA with Chimps, but we're completely different?"
-Well that's because only about 5% of DNA actually codes for anything and...
"What is a chimp?"
-gtfo.

First thing that comes up is this thread. >w>
Anyway.
What I tell them depends on whether or not I know the answer, or have time to explain it. Otherwise, "google it".

The good thing about Google Chrome is that you can type your question right in the address bar without having to actually go to google.com
Lazy people should just get Google Chrome as it'll make searching stuff so much easier. If something interests me enough and I don't know it, I'll google it (most of the time)

I'm just mad at firefox cause they make my job harder with their lack of support of all html5 video formats :cryno:
That and I'm too used to Google Chrome. Firefox is still good for ripping off videos and music from youtube though

It also has a free FTP which I plan on using, so I must keep Firefox for now. *_*
