So I recently passed driving school :cheer:
And my drivers license test is in Feburary :imdead:
Main problems I have are:
1. Parallel parking. Basically I do everything right except knowing how far to back in at first.
and 2. The driving school only utilized lil cars and driving low to the ground is different from driving 5 ft off it in an extended bed truck apparently. So this causes me to want to hug the left side of the lane more than the middle...(and my parents only own trucks so no cars for me...)
I besiege you all!
Bestow your driving wisdom upon me and I shall become your disciple:bow:

1) When your parallel parking make sure when you pull up its about 1ft - 1.5ft away from the cones (or whatever they have set up), put on your right or left turning signal, whichever way your turning into. Pull the truck up past the rear door (if you don't have one then pull up past the back window), keep going until about .5ft - 1ft past the back window.
So... (here's an example)
Truck
l _ l Cone
l_ _l
Cone
After that, completely turn the wheel (the way you are going) and put the truck in reverse. Put your free hand on the passenger seat, and lift yourself up a bit. Use the mirrors to your complete advantage. If your thinking about asking the guy if your going the right way, dont. Chances are they won't give you a positive answer. (ie: I dunno, you tell me.)
You have 3 tries, or at least I did.
It's easy if you practice it enough with your parents.

Parallel Parking isn't tested where I'm from, though I learned it just for practicality. Just wiggle in. It's a lot easier after you watch someone do it, and just copy what they do with the wheel. It's magical, I swear.
