This reminds me of a post I saw of a barrista that thought it would be cute to mess up someone's order because they thought the person was being too picky.
Getting someone's order wrong can actually fucking kill them. Luckily in this case it's something that's pretty easy to see, but in a blended drink or coffee? Jesus.
I know that people genuinely make mistakes and maybe that could have been one of them but people should seriously pay more attention.

My little brother is allergic to tomatoes, and they put god damn tomatoes on his food when I went through lengths that I should have had to go through to make sure they did NOT put tomatoes on his food.

See: allergies.
Some are deadly.
Certian illnesses or medical conditions also mean that certain people should avoid certain things. Sometimes this is for a period of time, sometimes for their entire lives. Exposure to said things can have various effects. Maybe they get a stomachache, maybe they spend a few days vomiting, or maybe they die. :I
Depends on the person.

Yeah, that makes sense.

Then you take it back to the counter and say you are allergic to them and they need to remake your meal without to the best of their ability.
Most places will be quick to do so.
And tomato allergy is a thing. I know people that have it. Though they're not hypersensitive like some peanut allergies where even dust exposure can trigger it, it is severe enough to hospitalize them if they eat anything with tomato or tomato product in it.
Oh and the last time someone at Arbys gave my overweight wife a salad instead of the chicken sandwitch she ordered, I was all set to get on the phone with the franchise management on the spot. Had a smartass cashier that did a couple of times in a row when we went there before I threw a fit about it. They never got it wrong again- and I haven't seen that cashier there either.
Also omg epic necropost.
Someone bumped a thread from 2011, and it actually came back to life.
