of all the above, point #4 is definitely the most important. :skip:

As an Evie player, my best duo partners have all been Karok. It seems like their battle synergy is good, so if she goes Evie, Karok would make an excellent choice for your alt.

But really, the most important thing would probably be to make sure one of you is an Evie, doesn't matter much about who. As long as one of you, not both or none, is an Evie, team has an overall higher success rate of doing things.

People who think everyone who plays Karok and Lann are terrible. It's just typical elitist attitudes people adopt towards games.
Theory being that, sans Spear Lann (who has very bad survivability), Hammer Fiona and Staff Evie have the best DPS in the game. Most people also have a bad impression of Karok after the first batch of power leveled 60+ Karoks all did pretty bad in Titan/Thor.

Not true. Fiona is suspect to unblockables, which aside from insane amounts of DEF, Fiona can't cover for other than running the hell away. Karok on the other hand can stand in whatever he pleases because he's Karok. He can even stay in Ahglan's blender if he really feels like it, and is the only character able to do so (again, without insane amounts of DEF).

Staff Evie has decent survivability, but successive hard hits will tear through her Amber (admittedly though, this is usually not a problem), plus it takes 1/3 of her stamina bar and she's unable to retaliate while it's up and for a short moment afterwards.
