If WWII never happened and Japan never lost, kawaii culture wouldn't have emerged. Before WWII loss, they had imperialistic goals and honor was a big thing. Now, it's all about being cute and coming up with weird funny game shows.

Japanese guys in the past look so badass compared to the "Morning Rescue Guy"
