WXIA) -- A number of people in the US are upset with a Chinese eatery in Beijing that refers to itself as "Obama Fried Chicken," complete with a faked KFC-style sign and cariacture of President Barack Obama.
The sign uses the same red color that American chicken restaurant chain KFC uses, with a smiling cariacture of the president in place of Col. Harland Sanders that adorns the KFC signs in the US. A caption on the sign in Chinese appaently translates as "We're so cool, aren't we?"
Rev. Al Sharpton was very critical of the signage, and was quoted in Monday's New York Post discussing the sign.
"It's insulting, offensive and plays to racial stereotypes," Sharpton said in the Post.
The sign is not the only "Obama Fried Chicken" out there. A restaurant much closer to home -- in Harlem -- calls itself Obama Fried Chicken, and according to the New York eatery's owner, it was named in honor of the president.

That chicken looks like fish... and the lemon on it only increases the probability that it is.
Also, I'm seeing an ad for sushi on this thread, so that just settles it.
It's fish no chicken.

I hope for the second, oh the irony, having a restaurant poke fun at him when he wasn't able to understand the previous food guide pyramid. And since when is naming a chicken joint after a black guy make it racist? People really should just get this racism alterior motive crap out of their heads.

News update btw, KFC is sueing.
Also, OFC would be better as far as customer service would go.
"Can I have the number one meal?"
"YES YOU CAN!"
"Can I have some extra sauce?"
"YES YOU CAN!"
My biggest complaint of KFC was that its awful slow.
"Can you guys make that any faster?"
"YES WE CAN"

Our kfc here is very fast, my mom bought the family meals 3 times in a row. Then we told her to stop.
Because all the chicken in the bucket was burnt just enough to make it taste disgusting.
All 3 times.
And it should count as a form of parody, or at least freedom of expression. Its just a resturaunt name, sure there copying some parts, but if there not even serving real chicken then who cares.
