I once saw a girl at a 30 degree angle.
To the ground.
Just think about that for a moment.

From what I've read, most parties are filled with drinking, smoking, (sometimes) drugs, dirty dancing, extremely loud rap, rave or rock music (though I like a lot of rock songs and some rap and rave), douchebags and hoes.
If most parties are like what I'm picturing in my mind, then I don't think I'm much of a party person. I mean, I like music and don't mind loud music (though it makes it harder to hear people), I like celebrations, I like the idea of people drinking to be merry (though you wouldn't catch me drinking: I don't really like it, and people do ridiculous things that they may regret when they get drunk) and I like the idea of dancing, though I don't dance much.
As far as dirty dancing goes, I'm sure it's fun, but it seems a bit tasteless just rubbing your body on someone and banging them through the cloth, and if I saw some guy (or girl) doing that with some girl I liked and/or I am with, I would be pissed, but that's just me.
Actually, from the looks of it, even on Dancing with the Stars, a lot of dancing styles are very sexual in one way or another.
I wouldn't mind dancing or would even love dancing like this with someone I'm on a date with or in a relationship with if they wanted me to or if they were ok with it (Though I'm talking about having the bodies on each other or doing a classy and sexual dance. Straight out ramming someone in the rear isn't quite my thing, though I'm sure it's fun), but on other conditions, I would feel uncomfortable.
But back onto the topic of parties in general, are most parties wild like that? Are most if not all clubs like that?
Honestly, I don't see the fun of walking into an over-crowded place with loud rap or even rave or rock music blasting into my ears, getting drunk and waking up sometime early or late in the morning with a bad hangover unsure of what happened last night only to later find out via friends and it be something really embarrassing and/or bad that I will regret.
Like I said, I like music, I like dancing, I don't like alcohol but don't mind people drinking it, I like socializing (when social anxiety isn't taking over), but I don't like a complete "out-of-control" party.
Also, what are Fiestas like? And is there anything like prom? Is prom even that great? Are parties good places to meet girls or people in general, or are most people who go aren't good?
Another thing but this one is more on/off topic: People often complain about walls of text. I usually try to put spaces in between sentences, especially ones that aren't related, but it doesn't seem to always be enough.
Can I get some tips on spacing and making reads more digestible?

Your assumption is basically correct. They're not all the same, since they depend on what kind of party it is, who's hosting it, who's attending it, etc.
Not all parties have drugs, but they always seem to have alcohol and occasionally weed. If you're at a rave of some sort, you're likely to find a lot of speed, x and so on.
Parties can be a bit more wild and involve more drugs/alcohol depending on the situation, while clubs can be a bit more controlled.

Parties are normally loud, annoying and long.
Expect desperate girls and horny guys.
Girls fake their voices and laugh a lot.
Drugs and alcohol can never really be contained, some people come high/drunk beforehand. There will be people who sit down and complain, or talk crap. Then people who'll go for any moving object.
The System prefers LAN Parties.

It all depends really. But the average party usually ends up consisting of loud music, alcohol, dancing, and the likelihood of sex. I don't think drugs as common as stereotyped, but you'll definitely see the first three on the list in generally all parties.
I've been to very few, and almost always left early. I just get dragged by a friend or two, find that I have nothing good to do, and come back.
Parties between my friends might involve not absurdly loud music, SOMETIMES alcohol, and most of the times whatever makes us laugh. Whether it be video games, youtube videos, or browsing wal mart and commenting on everything. We just get together, have a few boxes of pizza, play mario party, starcraft, play some board games like Settlers of Catan, then go bowling or some **** like that. Its more fun.
Every monday night we used to go to Apple Bees for half of appetizers.

It depends on who you invite and where and the occasion. You could just have your friends over to play games together and call it a party.

I absolutely despise those kind of parties.
Especially school dances: the music is pounding loud surrounded by idiots doing that "dancing" where me and some others happily tend to be wall flowers.
But I cannot really say; I haven't been to many parties outside of birthday ones. :what:
I prefer the ballroom dancing - but it all depends on what you and your true friends want to do, it can really be fun (such as video game playing and other activities),

Personally I hate to dance. And last time I went to a party with loud thumping music I got a headache and threw up on a chair. My friend is always having house parties with alcohol and weed and possibly other drugs. He always tries to get me to come to them by telling me "You can get totally drunk man." "You gotta try pot." "You can get laid!"
Not all parties are like that though. I've never been to/invited to one but I'm sure they're out there.

LAN parties.
Hour -2: Host has set everything up, and plays some video games while waiting.
Hour -1: Mom walks in and asks when the friends will be there. He answers "in an hour"
Hour 0:
Hour 1:
Hour 2: First person shows up, needs help carrying his stuff in.
Hour 3: A few others start showing up. You begin to get set up.
Hour 4: You're all dicking around. There are problems with the router and the ports, and there are constant hardware issues.
Hour 5: You guys decide to go eat because that one guy isn't there yet because he's off getting something to eat first.
Hour 6: You all finally gather together and decide to play some games.
Hour 7: First person needs to leave.
Hour 8: Everyone else leaves.
Hour 9: You have to clean up a mess.
Hour 10: Your mom comes in with chips and drinks and asks if anyone wants some. Then you tell her they all life. Then she takes off the happy mom mask and tells you to get a life and go get laid.
Total game: 2~3 hours.

I believe your chance of getting laid is far more significant if you get everyone else drunk but stay sober yourself. But as a virgin I can't really say its anything definitive.

True, but I'd prefer to know the name of the person rather than doing it with random people who can't see straight.

Wow, this thread got a lot of responses fast. Uh, let me go through the ones I want to comment on:

Wow, and usually my assumptions are wrong. Looks like I most likely won't be going to any parties or clubs like that. Isn't there another type of club or something, or am I thinking of a cafe or something?

Can't blame you for preferring LAN parties. That's something I forgot to include in my post: Parties filled with
horny douchebags. Not just douchebags! Do hoes count as desperate girls? Anyways...

Ah, so school dances suck too, huh? So I suppose I won't be missing out on too much by missing Prom or something like that?

I'd much rather not do drugs, and I'd rather not get drunk and sleep with random (drunk)people. Sounds like a good way to get (someone) pregnant, get raped, get thrown into jail, get your health destroyed by an STD or by the drugs alone.

I wonder what formal parties are like? Is it like dressing up and dancing with someone in a more "classical" manner? I feel like I would look more impressive wearing a fancy suit, hat and gloves than anything else.
I already got a nice suit and black pants to match and a hat. I could go looking like some gangsta from some old black and white Noir movie, or close to Michael Jackson or Justin Timberlake on Saturday Night Live.
I still also wonder what a Fiesta is like. Sounds like fun. Listen to Hispanic music or something, get a taste of someone else's culture, maybe even see some cute Latina girl or something.
I suppose I could look it up on Wikipedia or watch a video of a Fiesta.
