[FONT="Arial Narrow"][SIZE="3"]So I'm on the Arenen RP, but I haven't started it yet.
Judging by what Wiki says about "using Playing Dead to your advantage" makes me assume that Arenen will have trouble killing whatever awaits him in Maiz : /
But not as bad as Kelpie :D
So yeah, for those who have finished G10 already,
could you please enlighten me on the difficulty on the RP? And if possible,
also add strategic tactics that I can apply when I do it?
Probably this Maiz Dungeon isn't too big of a deal, but um, Lezarro's was. FOR ME. xD
And I don't want to spend another gazillion hours on something that could have been done more easily.
Oh by the way, thanks for the help!

Get your character, walk to Maize Normal, and try to solo it. It is approximately similar to that. I believe Arenen had low WM, no magic, but relied mostly on normal attacks with high critical.

Really? Oh, that just makes things easier to visualize, then.
Thanks (:
But, since I'm an elf, I'm no good with melee combos by themselves..
I normally incorporate magic, windmill [which you said was low rank], and charge?
Does he have that?
And, one more thing. How long did it take for you to do it?

I believe he has no charge since he was dual wielding. His WM was around r7. His critical rate was really high, which meant that they wanted you to take advantage of that.
I am probably a bad example since I was lagging very badly when I did it. It took me hours due to the abnormally high lag during that time.

This is quite easy and fast, just basically attack with a normal combo and right when it ends use counter, and then defense, normal combo, repeat.

Makes sense. I think I've only done Maiz Dungeon once or twice throughout the entire time I've played Mabinogi, though! Do the monsters multi-aggro?
If so, how do I take care of this? Play Dead, like how Wiki indicates? : /
(Yes, I'm a melee noob.)

If you get a critical in your N+1 attack, the monster is probably going to die. I found out normal attacks with him does more than smash, since he has no magic to back it up.
For multi-aggro, you could always play dead, and since most rooms the monsters take turns to 'rest', you don't have to stay playing dead for long. Only time i actually had to wait was the slowly mobbing rooms (only 2~3 rooms like that at the end though), and if you get lots of crits you should be able to finish a wave before the next ones come out of rest :thumb:

I'm too lazy to play dead and wait for them to leave, so I ended up dying five or six times and just starting from the beginning. Other than that, it was easy.

It's hard, but only because you don't have bandages.
So much dying and walking! D:

Arenen hits around 100-170 damage, has rank 7 windmill and medium Smash/Critical ranks. He has no magic, and 117.6% crit, so the critical is capped at 30%. He dual wields Cutlasses.
I never died, but I did have to play dead twice. Took ~40 minutes.
Learning to N+2 with dual slow swords if very helpful, as most ghosts can be killed by that.
Play dead is hax in recovery rooms, especially since he has high injury.
The best combo is probably 4+WM, which does a little more damage than 4+2. Since he has no magic, it's a little frustrating.

I did it a while ago, and I was doing fine with 4+WM.
It's actually no problem for me until there was that one room where NONE of the monsters
rested, and all of them multi-aggroed me.
Thus, I had to continuously restart from the beginning and that got me to just quit xD
IMO, Play Dead is annoying because monsters have a tendency to take a WHILE,
before they drop aggro.
Anyone help with this?
Help much appreciated,

He can take hits fairly well especially if you drink the alcohol he has with him. Using that and his ample pot supply in the end rooms is effective when you just can't take the monsters down quickly enough. It's generally faster to die than to play dead if they aren't going to rest.

Yea I was having lots of trouble with this dungeon because I was trying to use smash mill out of habit.
Too bad he has a worthless smash.
it's better to use N+WM.
I hope noone turns out like this guy , he's incredibly weak with weak combat skills and no magic at all.

I'm also baffled at how people are having trouble with this. I just N+'d everything and they all died in one combo if one of those hits critted. Not hard with his epic crit rate. People just need to be more cautious instead of charging in guns blazing with smash loaded.
For the record, Arenen>Kelpie.
