Downloaded Visual Novel.
Played through one route. Got the
Crowning Moment of Awesome and teared up a little.
Starts watching anime. Addicted now. :fail3:

If you can try the Visual Novel. It's... more heartwarming and less depressing... depending on the route... Don't watch if you don't want to cry a lil, and then clap, like literally clap, for the epic win you have just payed witness to.
Oh and as far as surprises go... Well it's romance, so basically as far as, i'd say PG-13 goes. Literally none of the usual fanservice, which makes it oh so refreshing :D

This, this.
One of the reasons this caught my interest :skip:
And have you done this "After Story" version (the one with the primary character, not the other with eroge)?

Yep, Clannad is one of my all-time favorites, and even I don't know why! ^^
It's one of the shows that I really wish were dubbed into English and broadcasted on Television in America.

It's really easy to get Visual Novels these days... the only issue is if they're translated or not.
Anyways, I never finished the series, it got boring. I dropped it around when he finally got a job. Not sure if it was in S1 or 2. Never really been a fan of Key Animations.... animation style (eyes take up 1/2 the face). The only one I was fine with was Angel Beats.
