Please help?

So the problem is that my PSP won't connect to my router even thought it was working fine yesterday. When I do try to connect to my router it stays in connecting to access point for like a minute and the it says that the connection has timed out. This is ridiculous since when I did it I was right next to the router. I have no idea whats wrong since I'm not good with routers. Also my internet service has been screwy lately randomly giving me the red light and blinking dsl light if that matters as well.

I' considering getting a new router but before I do that I want to know if I can somehow fix this before I do.

tried restarting the router? That usually solves 99% of connection probs related to routers, mainly when they just stop working from night to day

I restarted it but I still get the same thing
Edit: I've even restored the router to default settings and with no security at all so when I tried to connect with the psp it gave me an error failed to connect or something like that I really don't know whats going on.

Hm, my PSP's wireless seems to be receiving almost no signal, I tried searching for wireless networks, it shows several with under 100%, sometimes it shows my home wireless network with under 50%. It was fine a while ago. Maybe it borked :C

My psp gets the signal completely from my router only that it won't connect it just times out each time. I tried it on my friend's router to see if it wasn't my psp but it connected easily. I tried to connect to the internet with my router with my 3ds and I get connection failure so I'm thinking its the router that's screwy

It could be the router, but it's hard to tell without knowing how you set it up. :<
Have you updated its firmware? If you haven't, do it! It should resolve various other bugs, too. I suggest you do the update over a wired connection to the router, however. For the details of the process, look in the manual. :P Or go to http://192.168.1.1 and mess with the control panel until you find the update section. If you don't know the admin pass, try the default one listed in the manual, or look for the reset procedure to restore the password to default if you set a custom one already and forgot. xP
