So yeah,I still have the Clannad VN on my computer and I play it occasionally,but I was wondering which other Visual Novels you all play...if any.
And I'm looking for other good VNs too,too many seem to have 'ero' scenes in them though. I had Fate - Stay Night in mind,but I'm not too sure.
Discuss? ^^;

Would the Ace Attorney series count? xD
Well if that doesn't, then 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors probably does.
I really liked both of those. xD
Also i played Tsukihime.
That was good. :O

G-Senjou no Maou. It's a pretty good story, and the ero scenes are only if you "choose" a girl (and the options to choose them are pretty easily defined).
But the story is pretty freaking awesome, though confusing at times. But the best part is the Epilogue... It is indescribable.
Of course you could always check the
Visual Novel Database and search via the tags.

I know a few of us on Mabination are rather experienced with VNs and Eroge (This is what they're called)
I can confidently say that I can be one of them. The others, I'll refrain from saying their names since they may want to keep it private.
The above mentioned stories are rather nice as well, but many of the best VNs are not translated in English.
If you liked Clannad, you may be interested in some of its sister stories Air and Kanon. Both of them are good in my opinion, but are both "eroge" and are not translated.
Another good English VN is called "Ever17". As one of my favorite English-translated VN, it contains no adult material and has a great storyline. I recommend this title to everyone.
To play non-translated VNs... Many people without knowledge of Japanese simply use the two programs "AGTH" and "ATLAS", agth being the program that "hooks" the Japanese Text from the game, and ATLAS being the Japanese to English Translator. The translation is crappy, however, and I recommend that you learn to read hiragana, katakana, and a bit of kanji to fully enjoy VNs and eroge.

I've never had any but I've seen pics and videos of EF: A Tale of the Two and H20: Footprints in the Sand.

Ooh,y'all reply pretty fast. ^^ Keep those suggestions and comments coming everyone. ^^
@Iyasenu Hmm,I watched a playthrough of a 999 a bit...the bad endings were all kinda 'Whoaaa.....". as for Tsukihime,hmm...
@Athde Eh,since I kinda like playing the different routes and all,that bit of 'ero' might be a problem...and yeah,I already had been using the database here and there,but apparently not as thoroughly as I thought. XD
@Chihaya I appreciate your help as well. :cheer: I just might try Ever17,it sounds like it might be a good 'thrill-ride',kinda. But my interest is definitely piqued by it.
@CurlyBrace13 Hmmm,A Tale of THe Two seems like one I may try out...H20: Footprints in the Sand looks like a no-go though. I try to avoid VNs with NSFW material. ^^;
I appreciate the help so far. :thumb:
As for Fate-Stay,are there any bloody scenes in it? Or is it on Fire Emblem's level? (which is fairly low,imo)

I finished the entire Ace Attorney series, 999, Fate/stay night, Tsukihime, Kira Kira, Koihime Musou, Umineko no Naku Koro Ni, and Soul Link. Fate/stay night's a really good one, but for me, Umineko had a better plotline. It's probably not for you though if you don't like murder mysteries or get scared easily tho, but it actually is quite funny and I would highly suggest it. Fate/stay night is known for High Octane Nightmare Fuel though, and I can personally say it does, especially in the Heaven's Feel route (last route).
The VN's I'm currently playing are Ever17, Clannad and Steins;Gate. Steins;Gate seems promising xD but i'm only at the beginning so far, so I dunno. It's probably that I'm only at the beginning, but Ever17 seems a bit boring, and Clannad's quite amusing but a bit boring for someone like me who's used to action and whatnot. ._.

Fortune Arterial is note worthy of mentionning.

Should somebody post a guide as to how to "obtain" the visual novel's? Cause I realize that you can only get them the pirate way or the expensive legal way. And i'm willing to bet most of us get it via the former :P

Tried to. For some reason was more confusing for me than torrents :point:
Then there's
this lil slice of heaven pages that I found. I usually get my VN's from there. Though I don't think the author is even on those forums, let alone the forums even being in use :P

I haven't played/downloaded a visual novel in a long time, but Hongfire wasn't confusing when I used it. :what: I also used to use thepiratebay

Oh!
Ghost Trick!
Does that count? :p
It was more like a VN with timing puzzles.
Either way, I really enjoyed that game as well.
So much. :O
