Ok, well it's just a practice practice SAT, but still a PSAT. Any last minute tips besides the -1/4point wrong, 0 point neutral thing?
...Besides stay calm :worry:

PSAT is poor practice for SAT
-no essay
-it's not as long
-missing some aspects of the math section on the SAT
just use the blue College board book and past SAT exams
better practice
anyways
its all practice.

I had my PSAT on Wednesday, let me tell you, it's nothing to fret over. It's pretty much like any other small quiz you've taken, except a bit longer and boring. Just... don't fall asleep, high schools use it to determine your AP courses and such.

So there's no essay? Oh...
As for math... I barely remember anything from my past years since I heard it only goes up to Algebra 2, and I already passed that :x I don't remember even the slightest...

I didn't even know I took the PSAT when I took it. Someone told me what it was after xD

I'm taking it on Wednesday. I'm not really worried. Okay, I am slightly worried about math. Generally, I'm quite good at math. However, I took Geometry last year and Algebra II the year before (nothing this year), so I'm pretty out of practice. The practice problems that I've done for math so far haven't gone so well.
The PSAT is actually more significant than you guys seem to think. If you do well enough on it then it can put you in the running for scholarships.

It's way easier than the actual one

Bring Bananabread. ESPECIALLY if the teacher doesn't have a side of the room for the faster test-takers.

Yes, they need your school grades and some courses take into account how much you got on the PSAT to determine if they will accept. And the PSAT can also, like Polka said, place you in scholarships tryouts, but those are for the really advanced, and you still have a few more years (hopefully) to get as many letters of recommendations as you can for that scholarship.

If you're talking about how high schools use your PSAT score to estimate your SAT score for comparisons to the SAT scores of people who made it into specific colleges, I know that. You did make it sound like the high schools would use your PSAT score to determine what AP class you would be put in, unless that's what you're talking about. If you don't have a 4.0 unweighted GPA, a 2300+ SAT score, and strong extracurriculars, even if you make the cutoff for your state, you can forget about the $2500 scholarship (at least for my school).

Oops. Turns out I actually am taking it tomorrow. Don't know how I managed to miss that. Now I'm worried.
Bleh, I don't like these tests. All they tell you is who's best at taking tests and memorizing the things they tell you in public schools. Some of the most brilliant high schoolers I know have gotten terrible scores on these tests. Luckily I'm somewhat decent at both of those skills.... but I'm still a tad worried.

It's stupid easy. Don't even worry about it. Like the cat said though, it's nothing in comparison to the real SAT since it's scaled to the average grade level that takes this test(which are usually Sophomores). I just wasted 2 and a half hours of my life taking it yesterday.
For the -1/4 point thing, it's not exactly a big deal. Try not to guess on questions you have no clue on, though.
