How do you figure that?
Intuition. If the fact that the earth is slowly dying doesn't kill us first, I'm sure something will by then.

Sun flares have been a problem ever since we started wide use of electricity/electronics.
The earth's magnetic field protects us and other biological life, but the bigger solar radiation/sunflares rape electronics.
It's happened a few times where entire power grids have gone down due to it.
It's nothing new.
All that's missing is for it to happen on a a very large scale. It will cause chaos since we'll suddenly be back 100 years in the past in terms of technology, but it's in no way the end of the world.

Maybe we won't die, but rather mutate into a world full of Hulks or something reminiscent of an H.P. Lovecraft story.
