FFFFFFUUUUU - Black Screen

  For some reason, the cat's monitor keeps getting black screened
  
  It would try to boot from the hard drive
  and then the screen that shows the Windows OS being loaded
  
  and then the monitor says "Lost signal" and black screens
  
  Safe mode works
  tried system restore but the problem is still there.
  Just got this problem today
  
  Oh yeah, and the computer doesnt recognize the hard drive

  Or the OS drive works but another of the drives doesn't?
  
  If safe mode is working uninstall graphic drivers, get the latest ones and try that.
  If that still fails try removing the graphic card and use either on-board video or another card if you have one.
  
  Try to see if it's a software or hardware issue.
  
  For the hard drive you'll need to be more specific because if you can boot into windows, even safe mode, then the drive is being detected.

  It's most likely a driver issue.
  
  In safe mode uninstall the current video driver.
  
  Install new video driver.

  forgot to update
  
  hard drive pooped and died
  got a new hard drive
  1.5 Terrabytes!
  
  currently installing Windows 7, torrenting games etc.
  there's a lot of crap to reinstall
  
  while waiting for downloads
  the cat is using this crappy Mac laptop
  complete and utter ****
  can't believe this costs $1000 even back then
