This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. You can not register, post or otherwise interact with the site other than browsing the content for historical purposes. The content is provided as-is, from the moment of the last backup taken of the database in 2019. Image and video embeds are disabled on purpose and represented textually since most of those links are dead.

I really think we need to put a limit on spam. Spam zone has been whoring spam around for too long. We need to only allow meaningful spam in, or else the "Mabinogi fan site" part is lost.
That is all.

Take /b/ threads off new posts, or set default option to not seeing it in new posts and have the option of it showing up.

Or, you know, learn some constraint.

This. The spamsplosion was fun for a while but now it's getting on my nerves. It's also intimidating to noobs seeking advice.

Not like we aren't making Mabinogi related posts, its that people don't reply to them like they should since they either lurking, playing Mabinogi, or dun care.

Or because you often bring the Spam Zone to the rest of the forums. How many times have I had to tell people to get back on topic?

I can tell you you've had to tell me that a few times. Simply because I assume everything is spam nowadays... :D

Once a topic is discussed it goes off topic, and even then some people just jump right into the off topic cause its more fun :x

There's a difference between going offtopic and going off tangent. If people were talking about, for example, a good place to train Stomp, and the conversation drifted into a discussion about how Throwing Attack needs to get rid of its 25 second cooldown time, that's fine. But going from the topic of training Stomp into a discussion about how Pepe has a thing about Saani, which in turn sets off more offtopic discussion, and probably should remain in /b/, which is what I'm talking about, isn't fine.

Its all because you guys can't stay on topic. (Including me maybe)

Ban any new threads about Saani then ._________.

Definitely you.
@Brad: It's not just that Saani stuff. It's all of it. We mods let this slide too long.

The constant spam is driving many away from this website. It doesn't even look like a Mabinogi website...
