It's sad that such blatant racism still exists.

Wow, just wow. Here I thought Koreans were amazing because they invented Mabinogi and all, but seeing this...I'm probably going to put my trip there on hold for an indefinite amount of time.
To put it simply, this is ridiculous. Being scared just because you've never seen someone of a different race before? In my home state in Mexico, all were Mexicans or natives, but I doubt we'd be crying if we were to see a black/asian person (some white people visit hotels and whatnot).
Well, to be fair, if you go to Mexico, they will not be scared of you, but they might call you nicknames. "Gringo", "Negrito", "Chinito"....lol
It'd be pretty cool to see people running away from you and just raise your arms and go like "RAWRRRRR".
:XD:

My mom says her mom's best friend isn't racist, that she just "doesn't know how to say things". Such bull.
I don't blame people that find this funny because honestly it sounds pretty stupid.

I'm actually surprised at this. In areas like Seoul and Busan there are areas where foreigners are relatively common. My great-uncle lived near a US military base and I even went to an Irish pub when I visited. Away from that area there's another well known and popular market area for foreigners too. I've met lots of people who have visited Korea and they only had nice things to say about the locals.
The beginning of the article seems to try it's hardest to make it as if this happens all the time. Reading the rest of the article shows that she otherwise trades fine with local Koreans (including children) and actually goes on to say how Kenyans are making an impact in Korea.

It's kinda funny but then I feel bad for thinking that.

Not gunna lie, I laughed. I felt for the Kenyan woman though. I just think those Koreans over reacted.
