I think it has something to do with the storyline, you're not fighting small-time bosses or fetching stuff anymore.

As a technical point, Boat 7 Hero Mode was introduced in Ep9.
They seem to just be adding enchants to all the prior boats in order to make people run them again. I don't mind too much, as trash mobs were usually boring.

People complained about the large amount of missions in boat 6 and 7 and the lack of raids. So they reduced the missions and added more raids, basically.

You don't really need a decent party for most of them. Most are easily soloable. If it isn't, use trans. If that still doesn't work, chances are Chain Hooks will (and thus you just need some spin2win Lanns).
Except Hero mode, but that's Hero mode.

Don't forget Prairie=Fomorian Base.
But yeah, the map recycles were really disheartening.

It looks like they originally planned to make a labyrinth for rocheste with for higher equips and such.
But I doubt they'll ever make it.

Hollows and depths are supposed to be that similar. They're different parts of the same ice caves, and you're fighting stronger members of the same group of Fomors(the Kobolds). That had to be mostly recycled for the story to make sense. Same thing with prairie entrance and Fomorian base.

There's no excuse for Hilder & Sanctity though.
Hilder is literally Sanctity with gnolls cut out and trolls pasted in.
