Better Headset.

The wires in it decided to frizzed after 2~3 months of purchasing it, because it got tangled up by itself. I've wrapped it around my earphone for a week or two, and it finally gives out today and I tried to mess with the wires, but to no success. The only thing useful for the headset now is earphones; however, I can't seem to get the microphone to work anymore on the bloody thing. I'm currently broke and don't have much to do, until the 1st of November, when I get paid.

I'm looking for a headset or a microphone of great quality, which can pick up my voice and doesn't pick up the slightest sound, for the cheapest rate as possible.

Any suggestions?

I got those for my birthday last year, everyone said my mic sounded like static and I couldn't use it due to my Headphone jack being broken.

My suggestion is to get an account on newegg if you really want to save money on headsets. Sometimes they'll send you an email every now and then (especially around holidays) that gives you incredibly savings on hardware and etc., and I remember one sale selling a high quality headset for around $30 or so.

I have a used red version of this headset. My last mic from the same brand had good quality, but my current one sucks due to the fact that it was used (was too cheap to buy it new, but they recently lowered the price).
