Suggestions on how to fix it? it's doing what it's done before; keeps quitting instead of letting me start the game.
Difference this time is that I appear to be in the minority of people affected.

I didn't get that problem, but have you tried re-installing the game?

You're getting the problem where it starts to d/l the new launcher, closes, and relaunches endlessly?
I killed it in task manager, and then it worked after that.

Seems as though there were/are a couple of different versions of launcher glitches;
one of them does a loop; relaunching itself endlessly.
another one (the one I had) the launcher just auto killed itself, presumably without actually patching anything.
Sabina recommended aborting the launcher and then restarting it, but that didn't help my case, so I reinstalled mabi, and now there's something interesting going on; the launcher sprints through one fake launch and kills itself, but then relaunches itself and very very slowly patches in the new content. Hasn't finished yet, so I don't know how it's going to end.... hopefully by letting me in the game, but dunno yet.
edit:
First it slowly downloaded, then installed, then extracted, then made back-up copies, and now is actually patching?
I never noticed that all these separate processes took place before.
Well, seems to be working now. Guess that makes it worth the time. :D
