I've been waking up with a really heavy chest these past few days.
I stand up from the bed and I go brush my teeth, and I convince myself that it's gonna be a good day as I step out through the door. It usually works, since my days don't turn out to be so bad in the end. But the thing is, I lack real motivation these days. And I hate it.
It's like I have nothing to look forward to, so I ask myself, "What's missing in your life, Joel? What would make you the happiest man alive right now?"
And so I go through a mental checklist...
"Sex?" Nah.
"Alcohol?" Nope.
"Money?" I got paid yesterday, got like $800 dollars in my bank account now. I look at it like this... :what: "What the **** do I do with all this money?!?!?!"
:XD:
I'm laughing now.
Life isn't so bad.
I'm just at a stage of my life where I want to share my life with someone, you know? I wanna share my happiness, my hopes and dreams, my goals with another person, my doubts and fears. I don't just wanna kiss and have sex. I wanna talk to someone on a personal level.
I want to fight with someone who thinks I'm worth it. I want to get angry at them and yell at them, and then make it up to them. Relationships are all about the good and the bad.
Forgive me if this seems like a passive-aggressive post, I'm really trying not to make it seem so.
These are just my hopes and dreams. I've always been very idealistic about love and most things. I think it's good to have some high expectations in life. You should always aim for the best.
I think I can do it.
The other day, I passed by a Church and I just felt like going into a confessional and just spilling all my guts to someone. Like, all of it.
"I'M GAY. I WORK AT A BAKERY. KINDA LOST IN LIFE AT THE MOMENT. WHAT SHOULD I DO, FATHER?"
Just want someone to listen and not judge. To listen and just believe me.
What are your hopes and dreams?

You are indeed correct when you believe you want to "share this life with someone".
I don't know how old you are, nor plan on asking, but it's probably about time you've thought about creating a family.
Sex? Money? You don't need that crap. The value for those things were decided by OTHERS, not you.
I personally thought family was a pain-in-the-ass and hated being a part of family for quite a long time. Now, in college where I am basically satisfied with everything, I often feel lonely because I don't have anyone to share this satisfaction with. Friends? Sure, they can relieve your loneliness, but it's only temporary, since they have their own lives to live. Family will listen to you, walk with you, because that's what they're supposed to do!
I'm pretty sure that I don't need to tell you what the first step of creating a family is.

Damnnnnnn, but I'm just 22. :what:
Thanks for the advice, but creating a family right now is completely out of the question. lmao

I have stuff going pretty well now so I'm happy.
I'm done school. I have a job I enjoy a lot and is a great start to my career in terms of experience gain.
I pay a very low monthly rent to my mom to live at home, and it includes just about everything I need, so my student loan is being paid off very quickly (last payment scheduled January 1st 2013). When my loan is paid off I plan to move out to my own place.
Can't really say I have "dreams" like owning a huge house or being a billionaire, don't give a crap about those things. I just want to live my life and be bothered as little as possible by our ****ty society.

I'll listen to you anytime Joel, everyone needs someone to listen too. I know what its like not to have one.:fail2:
My hopes and dreams? Right now I want to make it out of high school, I'm struggling and its only freshman year, thats not good. Don't get me wrong though I WILL get into college. I'm planning on getting a law degree and either becoming a constitutional attorney or a federal prosecutor. After that I don't know. I'm smart enough to know that having all the cars, the clothes, and the hoes will never leave you satisfied. It kind of makes me wonder though, what is there to do in life? I mean pretend you amassed enough money to live almost extravagantly for the rest of your life, what then? I mean what do you do with your life after that?

You can do it, man! You just gotta have a little bit of motivation. :)
Life is all about doing what makes ya happy. Whatever it is, go for it.

"Why do people insist on creating things that will inevitably be destroyed? Why do people cling to life knowing that they must someday die? Knowing that none of it will have meant anything once they do?"
"Life...dreams...hope...Where do they come from? And where do they go? Such meaningless things...I'll destroy them all!
Pretty much my take on life.

Ouch,bro.
I thought I was there for you </3
Also my hopes and dreams
Right now
Finish high school
Get better at bass
And hang out with my friends more.
Near Future
Go to college where I can study Music as a major and possibly photography as a minor.
Find someone I can connect to (I already have one person I click with but we don't talk as much and I don't mean I want a lover)
That's it, not much but it's very hard accomplishing these.

Friends are easy to find, but you got to keep nailing at it to find a true friend that's always going to be there for you regardless.
Some of my hopes and dreams would be to make it out of high school and hopefully stay on my honour roll list each year. So far at 2/4 years at high school. I can imagine how hard it'll be maintaining it in 11 and 12th Grade.
Cause' I kind of want to win a scholarship of some sort, and not have to pay so much later, even if my parents have the expenses covered from way back. It would leave them with quite a lot of extra money to spare, too.
I'd also want a good friend like I had in Elementary School, that I could always talk with, hang out with, and such. Most of my friends at the moment in high school from both years 1 and 2 have been only caring about other stuff -- I don't even want to hang out with them for it, so I don't.
Maintaining a positive attitude and not be afraid to make mistakes, although I'm already doing that. Just the positivity becomes hard to maintain after a few things happen, but I'm glad I can at least get back up again from anything, practically.
Live life to the fullest extent you can, and live as if you'll die tomorrow. Think about if something you're doing today is worth doing at all, and if you would do it if you were going to die the very next day. If so, always put your best foot forward.

Ah, yes. I love all of your words.
This is exactly how I live my life. I put my best into everything I do, or at least I try. I rather not do something than do a half-ass job at it, you know?
I haven't had a really close friend in ages, ever since I stopped talking to my closest friend about a year ago. Ever since then, I've never really believed in the idea of "one" best friend. Instead, I just have many good friends who I confide in and whatnot. It is nice to talk to them every now and then, but I feel like there's something lacking sometimes.
Today, I went out with my two friends and we had fun dancing and being silly, but I feel like I'm missing some euphoria in my life, you know? Some excitement, to put it simply. I hope to find it soon, I just dunno where to look for it.

To spend the rest of my life with a certain someone, in a house of our own, even if it's small, and to have the motivation to actually make that happen.
