If I ever get more DEF on my Fiona, it won't be for me; it'll be for the PUGs I join so I can carry the team better.
Sigh.

Ever thought about joining a guild? They usually do a lot better.

I think today's about the ninth day of Colru for me?
3 days I had a great group which ran through Colru without problems.
2 days we barely beat the clock with less then a minute left.
The rest were GG spamfests.
Randoms just really vary in skill, so I just try until I find a group that works. The closer to the reset time, the better.

I am in a guild but sometimes there's other circumstances that prevent me from having a guild run.
And even then, just because you're in a guild doesn't mean everyone is automatically above PUG-level. A looooooooot of PUGs are in guilds.

I all depends on the party and if they have experience playing. Today I joined a random party with atleast more than half the member that know how to fight the mini colru room and evade Colru. Even if one or two players know how to do Colru, the ones that dont can run the party down :v
btw what is PUG? bait or just a punching bag in party?

Public Unorganized Group is how I understand it.
Apparently it means Pick Up Group though. I like mine better.

Well, it helps if you know your pug players, so for a guild run, you would know how they play and adapt to that to decrease the chance of deaths in the run.

I'm not sure about how you operate in raids in general but for me if I'm with mainly all friends(guildies) I tend to do much better because I know how they fight and it makes it easier to rely on them, and in turn they can rely on me. Unless of course I'm just having a bad day/lagging out. But that's just how it works for me, and maybe that's how it works for the PUGs you've been in that have had guilds? Idk, just throwing something out there. c:
Update: I just ran colru not 5 minutes ago and in the party there was 1 lann, 1 fiona and the rest were evies. We beat him with 34 minutes left and only very few deaths. It was probably the best colru run I've had so far, so as Invertex said it just really varies on skill...

Even in my guild runs, I don't adapt to how anyone plays. I just hope they deal consistent damage so we can finish it. Which is the same situation I find myself in PUGs anyway. The only thing that changes about how I play between guild runs and PUGs is that in PUGs I don't trans when everyone else does, because I know that 99% of the time, he won't die in 17 minutes so I want to save my trans in case something catastrophic happens 30 minutes later (which usually does happen).
Hell, sometimes I don't even rely on people to get that stupid wall up because the thing can be so temperamental, and because if you dive in there at the last moment it can hit other people and I don't want to do that to them. So I've started to try and figure out if I can dodge the damn balls on my Fiona.

Was just in a PUG with 4 other Fionas, all of whom had large shields. No staff Evies so I went to the fire room. A Fiona joined me in there.
Said partner Fiona was essentially useless and the only hits he got in were from getting SP from the rocket punch and Shield Charging.
I gave up because in 10 minutes we were still around 6+ bars on the golems' HP.

I'm assuming you were talking about my comment because of the '34' part...I said we beat him with 34 minutes left, and I also didn't say it was the fastest run out there either. Please read carefully next time.

I find Colru runs more successful than Lionitus runs (Probably because people play serious when it comes to getting shiny stone)
But I like Lion run better cause I can survive the whole raid, just people rush things.

Omg yes Colru runs are soo much fun when there's a good party. :'D But I also like lion more because it's always fun pushing him off the cliff...:2thumb:
