  Technically it's not, well to me anyway, since I consider TA's signature as graphic art. Which is getting renders and brushes and designing your own signature with them.

  Mine for example takes 3 images, cuts them around, and places it together. Its pretty simple though.
  
  TA's goes a few steps and beyond. Unfortunately, there is no clear cut definition so I can't really take a stance on this argument. It can either be entirely original from scratch or things like this are all fair game I guess.

  but she's the one who force entered us anyway so I assume it could have been part of the rules to make it art
  but then people would have had to have entered and sadly not everyone is talented/creative enough to do so
  that's why these kind of contests normally don't get a huge number of entries

  I'm not dissing Skye or saying her entry isn't valid. I'm just saying in an avatar/signature contest, knowing what's involved, I'd personally crawl in a hole and die if a tumblr copy/paste won. Of course, this is coming from someone who frequents forums with weekly sig contests and knows the harsh criticism those people can dish out... :x
