Ok I'm wanting to get my ego maxed out. Does anyone have any tricks to make your ego hungry faster? I heard that cutting leathers makes it hungry fast (major dura loss though). Are there tricks to speeding up the hunger that I just don't know about.
Don't need tips on how to feed. I've got that part down.

nothing makes it get hungry faster. before anyone says it, fighting with it does NOT make it hungry faster.

Go afk for the night/day when you aren't there and leave it out. No, it doesn't make it hungry faster, but it's the least annoying way to get your ego to high levels. Nothing is going to make it hungry any faster.

AFK in town with it on.
Its okay to starve your spirit weapon. Feed it like mad afterwards.

If you have inventory/dura to spare:
Leave ego out overnight, feed pet sticks until you get to Unhappy Stage 3? (one step below max. efficiency) then start feeding whatever item you want.
Wastes a bit of money but you pump the stats faster. During treasure event I used the boxes instead of sticks.
Was able to hit L25 STR in a few days, got L30 str a few days after that IIRC.

ego hunger has a chance to move one stage every five minutes.
hunger is not dependant on use, but on time.
(that's why people afk with egos instead of dungeoning with them.)

Happy : Unable to give items
Fine Stage 1: 20% Growth efficiency
Fine Stage 2-3: 70% Growth efficiency
Unhappy Stage 1-2: 100% Growth efficiency
Unhappy Stage 3-4: Decrease in attack power stat (70% min, 80% max)
Unhappy Stage 5-6: 80% Growth efficiency
Mad Stage 1-6: Greater decrease in attack power, decrease in injury rate, 50% Growth efficiency
Mad Stage 7-8: Greatest decrease in stats. 0% Growth efficiency. Must continue to give items for no growth to ascend out of this state. (Giving 2 items worth 4000g+ at NPC price is usually the fastest way to get out of this stage. Giving 10 items worth less than 1000g will also work, but takes longer.)
Basically, leaving it out overnight will probably put it in Mad stage 1~8. Get it out of this stage with a bunch of worthless items. Once you reach Unhappy Stage, blast it with items that will give it 10% growth (cap). Once it reaches Fine Stage, stop feeding it.
From Fine, you wait until it is unhappy again, and feed. This is if you're just doing regular stuff daily.
If you plan on a long dungeon and you need your weapon, feed it to full.
Otherwise, starve your spirit weapon to death whenever you're not active.

Whats the best items to get for social?

There aren't any real ways to get ego to go hungry faster. That is one reason why you see so much people with egos out just sitting around the NPCs.
Best items for socials are definitely diamonds. They beat out all other items.
Kitaek, if your items are reaching the 10% cap with one item, you are wasting money. You want items that give as much as % per hunger level without actually going over it.

Unless you have items you can get that have high shop value, but you don't need to pay shop value-- like our current events glasses, roses, and wigs. 5 sandals might give you 500 str, but one rose gives you 1k+ str.
Anyway, events are the best times to train spirit weapons.

While the roses gives you more than the 5 sandals, the difference isn't that wide.
5 Sandals at almost level 40 stats or so gives around 900 gold (~180 points each sandals) while the Flowers gives a little more than 1000 (1024 or 1048?). However, the Flowers requires you to be active, and winning the games. Meanwhile, the sandals do not require you to do very much.

I just buy flowers for 8-9k. Money isn't that big of an issue, since I'm gaining a lot of social at the same time.

You can only buy a lot of flowers only if noone else is competing with you,, and a lot of people playing the games are willing to sell the flowers to you. As for the sandals, the sandals are always there. The social difference for flowers is higher than 5 sandals, but it isn't that much higher. The difference is similar to the strength difference.
The fact you are trying to advocate people to buy/do event for flowers for ego feeding is certainly not helping you, lol.
Unless you are buying diamonds, money is never an issue for people who seriously feed their egos.

So I shouldn't give advice and just hoard flowers to myself? Sounds selfish. Most of the people here aren't even on my server.

Affluence isn't a reason for extravagance.
Even if I was beyond rich, I still wouldn't waste money on jewels when they're not that much faster than NPC food until they start costing around 100x as much.
