  National power grids could overheat and air travel severely disrupted while electronic items, navigation devices and major satellites could stop working after the Sun reaches its maximum power in a few years.
  Senior space agency scientists believe the Earth will be hit with unprecedented levels of magnetic energy from solar flares after the Sun wakes “from a deep slumber” sometime around 2013, The Daily Telegraph can disclose.

  Doubt this is as bad as the article suggests.
  Remember, science reporting is done by retards who don't actually know what they're talking about, and they report on how they interpreted the scientists.
  
  If this is actually TRUE, or at least the theories are realistic enough to be a problem, electronic markets would already be well on their way to accommodating and making adjustments for this. We've become dependent on these electronic systems, and the last thing people are going to do is sit by and let some solar flares stop them from using them. Its not just for comfort. Its for saving lives, business, growth, etc.
  
  Also, NASA's webpage says nothing about this. Its not AS serious as the article makes it.

  Due to the recent solar activities, our G12 patch was somehow deleted, and our equipment got a little messed up, meaning, G12 will have to be delayed another, 8 years, we are sorry for the inconvenience.
