If Nintendo does that, they will most likely send the product to hell.

Nintendo knows what's up. They know that they milked the wii for all it's worth and that the next big thing would be to go all out on the next handheld. This is not the PSP killer, this is the DS killer, and it is one of the greatest things to have ever been announced.
ITT: Will this be a first day buy for you and why?

It's a feature that wasn't disclosed during the public unveiling of the Nintendo 3DS, but Japanese business newspaper Nikkei is reporting that the new handheld will allow users to install games on its onboard storage.
According to the paper's report, "multiple games" can be installed off their original cart, meaning users could stock up on a few titles and take them on the road without needing to swap cartridges.
As the report comes from a business paper (not specialist press), and hasn't been confirmed as a feature by Nintendo, we're labelling it a rumour for now.

Instead of going with the rumored Nvidia Tegra chip to power the display in the 3DS, Nintendo has chosen a product from Digital Media Professionals. The Japanese hardware company announced last night that its PICA200 chip was selected by Nintendo as the GPU in the Nintendo 3DS.
DMP boasts that the 200MHz chip can provide 15.3 million polygons a second, 800 million pixels a second, and can perform alpha blending, full-scene antialiasing, and other features that sound like they make nice graphics. Nintendo has yet to reveal the CPU or any of the other chips behind the 3DS, but at least we're starting to get an idea what's going on in there.
After the break, check out a video made by DMP to show off the chip's abilities. Perhaps you can look at it on two monitors at once to get an idea of the 3D capabilities of the system, or wiggle your monitor back and forth.

never heard of DMP before
but the tech demo is very promising
this is like xbox to gamecube graphics but with more shaders
allowing for more details
and there's more pixel lighting

So I suppose the PSP won't have the top handheld graphics anymore.

3DS resolution shouldn't be much different then what they showed. If it is I think it would look pretty good
