I find the spear throwing hilarious. Especially the balista in ortel castle. You can get large bolts sticking through people and they're perfectly fine =D

In boat 1? :c lol idk why they would need a party or what they would be gathering but...I guess so. :3
Sometimes it's more fun than soloing? I would get bored of vindictus fast if soloing is the only thing to do. Even on lower boats, it's fun to have a party. Also if they get a drop you need, they might be able to sell it cheaper/donate for you helping them through "tough missions" such as Frost Stones or Hilder Forest missions (both which have decently priced loot drops).
After I went in a party for Preparing for Counterattack Hero, my party member was like here take this illusion enchant i dun want it.
I also got a free scholar's enchant for doing "battle that must be won" from a nice party member.

Ok this one really really irritates me. It's one thing to have a spear friends fight for kicks and giggles but when someone you don't even know starts spamming spears at you it's freaking annoying. So much so that most of the time I decide they're an idiot and leave. Idk why it bugs me so much...but it's definitely one of my pet peeves.
I totally agree with this. I'll add that I don't mind people spearing me out of the blue, so long as they don't run and hide when I go to spear them back.
I have no experience with the other one, as my characters have always been near the level cap, but I can see why you wouldn't want someone else to "play the game for you." I had trouble before recently where I would often disconnect once the boss was defeated if I hosted* (including solo runs), so for the longest time I was dependent on others to host, even boat 1 dailies. I try to hold back though when I join a much lower level's boat, unless they're like "YAY, high level!! GO GO!!!!".

Yeah, it really bothers me when people that are wayyy high join my team in any game.
Like, in Castlevania, the online one I just got. I like playing by myself with me and my friend who also bought the game. We both have mics, and are around the same levels too. But he always wants to have other people join our group. And like 6 people is wayyy to many people, and at elast one fo them ends up rushing the whole level. :/

It's more fun being in a party than soloing, yes. But in boat 1 I think that person can manage.

Whack them with your shield for a hour.
:D
I mostly solo my dailies anyways. On a related note, I decline most of the "New Merc Help Request" things as it doesn't help the newbie at all if they just have a high level join their boat. I'm more then willing to help new players, I just don't want to do it by one shotting everything for them.

Your damage is nerfed for those things. I do like 2% of the damage to the boss with a +10 hammer lol.

They do that?
Well, I guess that's good. But I still don't see the point of the help a new merc function. Character limits in chat make explaining things a pain in game (I hit that limit every 4 lines or so).

Yeah, I'll always help whenever i get one of those it's just really hard especially explaining how the staff attacks. x.x; So that usually takes about 5 minutes for them to get the firebolt one, but i know I would've liked to have help when I was in there. :3

But then with Lanns... kind of self explanatory. All you have to do is explain the concept of using the dodge, and to make smart choices in their future.

I think you can't kill anything for them. Your attacks in newbie assist is like golem, you can drop their hp but not killing them. Plus you can instruct them on how to use skills. It's actually pretty nice :D

None of those irritate me at all. Unless I'm trying to get a title for killing monsters in some manner, and I'm all like "LEMME KILL THEM MONSTAS IN ANY WHICH MANNER!" And the high level is all like "" and just kill the monsters anyway.

Oh god, that irritates me to no end. Ugh.

@Eyrion
Honestly, if you insist on killing every kobold with kicks, or archer with spears, you should just take what you can get. Otherwise, work on them by yourself or possibly with friends who also need the titles. The trouble with them is that most of them are not party titles, meaning you have to perform the final hit for it to count. For people who are only interested in the boss loot or the daily AP, this just slows everything down.
