After discovering this and testing it out a few times, I have a hypothesis on Lann's gliding and lightning furies.
There is a possibility that GF/LF (for convenience I will refer to them both as GF) has invincibility frames, similar to a low rank Slip Dash.
When using GF on several bosses that were in mid-attack, there would always be a possibility for the character to pass right through the said attack without taking damage.
Take Shakarr's left/right hammer swing, for example. When using GF, I would aim to glide in the direction the swing is coming from, and the swing would usually not touch me, and instead I would go right through it.
Now the question is, is this GF invincibility merely lag, distorted physics, or actually invincibility frames? Discuss.

I always thought Lann had full invincibility on his GF/LF. It would be his best evasion tool, not only in terms of distance, if it wasn't so unreliable.

I myself have never thought of Invincibility whatsoever. I believe that it just lowers your hitbox, making you smaller and thus you ignore the hit. My reason for thinking so? Way back when The Blood Lord first came out, He used his own version of Gliding Fury at the same time that I did and we clashed pretty much. Needless to say, I fell over dead and he didn't even flinch.

The thing is, the invincibility activates at a different time than as with Slip dash. Slip dash invincibility begins as soon as your head is lowered, but GF invincibility seems to begin midway through the glide. Also, it IS quite unreliable to use GF to dodge, as there is always a skill delay time (the time it takes for Lann to pull back the swords and get ready to shoot off) and that delay time can screw up a lot of things.

Nah.
Lann is only invincible during slip dash, and occasinally furious 7 if he isn't lagging.
